Interior designer Lee W. Robinson turns the ordinary into the impeccable. As the owner of The Lee W. Robinson Company, a full-service design firm, his talent has touched a wide variety of clients’ homes. He has the innate ability to see the value of the space and rise to the challenge of transforming it into a work of art. While each client’s needs are different, his creative touch is always opulent.
“My creative style lies deep within the details,” says Lee. “One of my trademark design tricks is taking a stark carpet and adding a fabric tape to it. I customize furniture and walls with the finest fabrics and wallcoverings. These are just a few ways that I strive to implement the client’s vision and create a space that they can enjoy for years to come.”

While reinventing this kitchen, the project grew and expanded to include other areas of the home, including a stunning master bedroom design. “Our goal with the master bedroom was to create an oasis for sleep — a refuge for my clients to escape the day. We used blackout shades and the highest quality bedding. It truly is a retreat for them,” Lee shares.
An accent wall is cloaked in a glorious Mary McDonald Schumacher Chinois Palais. The furniture is all from the Mary McDonald for Chaddock line, which is a mix of imposing, boldly geometric designs balanced by smaller pieces with soft curves. Acrylic mirrors with gilded accents dress the walls, while plush linens add a luxurious feel to the bed.
Creating his-and-her bathrooms allowed Lee to invent an oasis for both of his clients. “In his bathroom, I added a Hermès wallcovering for a more masculine touch, and in hers I used a silver and diamond pattern from Osborne & Little to add a splash of glamour.” Marble is used to layer the space in both bathrooms. A custom skirted stool embraces the vanity in her bathroom, while a built-in cabinet features a small flat screen television in his. Elegant sconces from Visual Comfort brighten her retreat.

Downstairs in the breakfast nook, Louis XVI reproduction chairs, brought to life by a vibrant Jane Shelton fabric, embrace the table. The wood-beaded chandelier illuminates the space, while Scalamandre drapes frame the windows. A mirrored backsplash provides an illusion of depth. “It is an inexpensive way to add a stylish element while making the room seem larger.” The sophisticated cabinetry is all custom and provided by The Lee W. Robinson Company. Bar stools, covered in the same fabric as the chairs in the breakfast nook, are tucked under the expansive island.
The kitchen flows effortlessly into the cozy living room. “We found a fun television cabinet at market that has faux book spines, but when you open it, the television is revealed,” Lee shares. Decorative sconces flank the cabinet while stools reside in front, providing additional seating options. The plush sofa is cloaked in a Romo fabric, boasting Samuel & Sons tape and cord.
With Lee’s incredible attention to detail, this home’s interiors exude a singular elegance.
