Path of Glory

Path of Glory

In 2026, Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage joins the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding with the striking Path of Glory installation, featuring 1,776 full-size U.S. flags displayed across the presidential site through July 15. This meaningful tribute invites individuals and groups to purchase a flag in honor of themselves or a loved one, with each flag returned to its honoree after the installation concludes. Throughout the exhibition, guests can also explore a companion display examining the evolution of the American flag alongside the nation’s growth during Andrew Jackson’s lifetime.

A special Path of Glory Dedication Ceremony takes place on May 22 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., featuring keynote remarks from Bill Lee. The outdoor ceremony is included with general admission, and guests are encouraged to RSVP in advance via email. The installation is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. thehermitage.com
