Hummus … it’s so good. Before “butter boards” started going crazy on social media, and now “hummus boards,” we brainstormed making multiple layered dips and serving them on cake stands. You see, when serving hummus on a cake stand versus in a bowl, the toppings-to-hummus ratio is significantly increased. Think of it like a pizza — the toppings are evenly spread on top of the first layer making for an entirely new way to enjoy your hummus! More toppings, better dip! And when you elevate that dip on a cake stand, it’s even better.

To repeat that last point slightly differently, an aesthetic reason we enjoy serving dips on cake stands, including hummus, is that they add visual interest with the added height. They also pair nicely with a basket of chips or crackers slid up next to the pedestal of the cakestand, just below the dip.

We could go on and on about why we love what we’re coining “cake stand dips.” They invite your guests to dig in and enjoy your appetizers in a fresh, new way.
