We love to share the inside scoop at StyleBlueprint, and today we’re giving you a heads-up about a name you’re going to be hearing a lot more about in the not too distant future. Elaine Turner, an accessories designer based in Houston, is launching her first store outside of Texas in Nashville. With an aggressive plan to open up 50 more boutiques in the next 5 years, we are hoping that Louisville is on that list. For now, we can shop online for the whole collection or at Rodes for Her.
Here’s how I discovered this great line: My mother, who lives in Houston, loves Elaine Turner and gave me a purse three years ago for Christmas. I had a similar purse and shipped the gift back to exchange it for something else. I spoke with the store manager and, based on my description of what I wanted and what I liked, she sent me two of the loveliest purses back. I kept them both and love them dearly to this day. (One is purple suede and the other is a metallic clutch.)
The products are beautiful, and the customer service component they offer is what sets this brand apart. My Houston friends and family have stated this across the board, that not only are their employees very friendly, but their attention to service is top notch. I can vouch for this first-hand. Liza Graves, one of our SB co-founders, was in the Nashville store just before the grand opening and found all kinds of gorgeous things on her visit.
Liza:
We were so excited to get a sneak peek at the Elaine Turner boutique opening today in Nashville. Let’s just say, we all now have a big huge list of wants! Before we gave it the SB stamp of approval, we wanted to see the collection up close. Yes, everyone in SB land, even if you must order online, do so. As beautiful as these bags and shoes are in photos, I promise they are actually prettier in person.
Elaine Turner’s eponymous brand was launched in 2000 in Houston, Texas. Her inspiration comes from her many international family vacations and the want to capture a bit of that adventure and escapism for her customer’s everyday life.
If I were to categorize this collection with similar brands, I would choose Tory Burch or Kate Spade as the price point and classic-with-a-modern-twist approach are appealing to a similar customer. The mix of materials and textures definitely brings in a luxurious element, but not at premium designer prices. Attainable luxury is the goal of Elaine Turner.
Her signature color is hot pink and those pink couches just beckon you to sit and try on shoes. This store embraces femininity, which is fun to be surrounded by.
And, for bargain hunters, I’m drooling over the summer selections on her site. Great deals: www.elaineturner.com
Oh, one more thing: Amy’s husband, Will, take note:
