Artist’s Perspective: “What Gets Amplified” with Raven Chacon

Join the Frist Art Museum for an evening with Pulitzer Prize–winning composer and multimedia artist Raven Chacon. In the museum’s auditorium, Raven discusses his recent works, including pieces featured in An Indigenous Present, and explores how he uses scores and field recordings to convey narratives of place. Presented in partnership with the Indigenous Studies Seminar at Vanderbilt University’s Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities, this engaging program offers a deeper look at the intersection of sound, place, and storytelling in contemporary Indigenous art.
