Japanese Moon Viewing
Experience the beauty and traditions of Japan during the 12th Annual Japanese Moon Viewing, Otsukimi, at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. This immersive cultural celebration offers an afternoon and moonlit evening filled with tea ceremony demonstrations, mochi pounding, taiko drumming, art activities, and bilingual tours of the Blevins Japanese Garden. New this year, a musician performs the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese flute, during the tea ceremonies on the main stage. Guests can also explore bonsai displays and browse a vendor marketplace featuring food, artwork, and handcrafted goods. Admission is $23 for adult non-members, $16 for youth non-members, and free for members. For more information, visit cheekwood.org.
