Opening Conversation: An Indigenous Present
The Frist Art Museum presents an engaging evening centered around An Indigenous Present, a thematic exhibition spanning 100 years of modern and contemporary Indigenous art. On June 25, exhibition cocurators Jeffrey Gibson and Jenelle Porter join Katie Delmez, senior curator at the Frist, for a dynamic conversation exploring the ideas, practices, and perspectives of Native North American artists featured in the exhibition. The evening begins with a live musical performance in the Grand Lobby from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., followed by the conversation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The museum remains open until 9 p.m., giving guests more time to explore the galleries. Admission is free for members, while general gallery admission applies to non-members. fristartmuseum.org
