Antiquing in tucked-away shops is one of the best ways to uncover hidden gems, but if you love being completely surrounded by treasures, buzzing with potential … nothing rivals the thrill of a sprawling antique market. Across the South, these massive markets invite days of exploration, with endless vendors and storied wares to discover. Here are nine annual events and three permanent destinations, all worth planning a trip around.

ANNUAL EVENTS

These annual markets are the biggest and best in the South. You may have even spotted them while scrolling Instagram — they’re social media sensations, beloved for their charm and photo-worthy finds!

Round Top Market | Round Top, TX

Round Top Market is the darling of antique dealers, vintage lovers, and anyone in the world of secondhand and design. This tiny town in Texas transforms into a vintage wonderland twice a year — once in March and once in October. There are a handful of shops open year-round, but the magic happens when this town swells to an 11-mile stretch of dealers from across the country.

Throughout the market, there are various tents, barns, and shops, each with its own personality. Marburger Farm is one of the most beloved events, with shoppers lining up early to be the first in the door of this high-end show. Blue Hills is another favorite, blending both old and new across its vendor lineup.

Nashville Antiques & Garden Show | Nashville, TN

If an elegant antiques-and-garden experience with renowned speakers sounds more your style than browsing outdoor tents, add the Nashville Antiques & Garden Show in January to your lineup. This year’s theme, American Elegance, comes to life through curated vendors and the 2026 keynote, Living Luxury: The Classic American Style of Ralph Lauren. The event celebrates timeless design, sophistication, and the enduring allure of luxury.

Lucketts Market | Berryville, VA

Lucketts Market has a physical presence year-round in Leesburg, VA, as well as a twice-a-year market in Berryville, VA, that draws in over 200 vendors from across the South. Located in Virginia hunt country, this market leans into its pastoral aesthetic but does it in a “vintage hip” way.

This is where to go for vintage oil paintings, brass accents, and items that feel like they’d be right at home in a charming cottage or equestrian-themed library. Over the course of this event (taking place over three days in both May and October), 10,000 antique lovers will make their way through this market, which is in its 27th year!

Fiddlers Antiques Show | Nashville, TN

For those who prefer a more “pickin'” approach to antiquing, Fiddlers Antique Show is a must-visit. Held each February at the Nashville Fairgrounds, this event brings in vendors with a wide range of goods, but many of them lean towards a more farmhouse vintage aesthetic, including primitives, old signage, and pieces with a built-in patina.

Liberty Antiques Festival | Liberty, NC

Each April and September, the small town of Liberty, NC, welcomes antiques shoppers from across the South. With over 400 vendors from 25 states, the staff in charge of this festival keeps a tight threshold on the wares. While some antique markets start to move more towards new stock and reproductions, Liberty makes sure its vendors are selling old, original items only. You’ll find everything from furniture to folk art, with an emphasis on Americana.

West Palm Beach Antiques Festival | West Palm Beach, FL

South Florida is a mecca for fabulous antiques, and the West Palm Beach Antiques Festival delivers. This monthly event brings in hundreds of vendors from across the country and the world. If you are looking for sophisticated, unique, European-influenced pieces, this is a festival you won’t want to miss.

Lexington Vintage Market Days | Lexington, KY

A twice-per-year event, Vintage Market Days® offers an entire vintage experience. This festival, held at the Kentucky Horse Park, attracts vintage sellers and dealers specializing in original art, garden supplies, and other unique, whimsical items. As the festival’s motto goes, it’s so much more than a flea market.

Burlington Antique Show | Burlington, KY

If you have a soft spot for antiques with a Kentucky lilt (think bourbon memorabilia and salvaged items from historic homes), plan a trip to the Burlington Antique Show. This event takes place once a month from April to October at the Boone County Fairgrounds. You’ll find beautiful vintage furniture, quirky retro items, and more.

Renningers Antiques and Collectors Extravaganza | Mount Dora, FL

There are antiques at Renningers year-round and a flea market every weekend, but it’s worth waiting for the Renningers Antiques and Collectors Extravaganza, which happens in January, February, and November. This three-day outdoor event brings in over 800 vendors, and both the flea market and farmers’ market are also up and running, so you can pop into all three.

PERMANENT MARKETS

If you’re having trouble finding enough time in the schedule to make it to any of the larger antiques events this year, these permanent (and sizable!) markets are well worth a visit.

Factory Antique Mall | Verona, VA

Billing itself as the largest antique mall in the country, with over 150,000 square feet, Factory Antique Mall has everything from glassware and dishware to furniture and an entire taxidermy room. It can be an overwhelming experience if you try to do it in one afternoon, so set aside an entire day (or two!) to explore. This antique mall is also located in a part of Virginia that’s rich in antiquing, so turn it into a trip and hit small and large shops alike.

GasLamp and GasLamp Too | Nashville, TN

Nashville’s largest antique store, GasLamp Antiques, has over 300 booths that cover design eras spanning centuries. The offerings at these sister stores run the gamut — you’ll find everything from historic American primitives that take you back to the early days of our country to fabulous Art Deco and Hollywood Regency finds for a more glam look.

(The original store has expanded significantly in recent years, resulting in a second location, GasLamp Too, located around the corner in the same shopping center.)

Irondale Pickers | Irondale, AL

While 120,000 square feet doesn’t quite put it at the largest antique mall in the country, it does make Irondale Pickers the largest in Alabama. There’s a wide range of antiques here, with 400 vendors selling everything from decorative items to dishware and furniture, and each individual booth has its own personality.

Happy shopping!
