Sunny skies, blooming flowers, and a calendar full of fabulous events — welcome to April in Memphis! We love this time of year for the local focus on philanthropy, food, and fun. Check out our favorite events happening this month around the 901.

April 1, 3 & 6: Memphis Grizzlies Home Games

There are still plenty of chances to catch the Grizzlies before the season ends. This month, they’re scheduled to play against the Knicks, Raptors, and Cavaliers during select home games. Plus, you can score awesome giveaways like a poster, a drawstring bag, or a T-shirt. Purchase tickets at nba.com.

April 1 – 5, 14 – 19 & 28 – 30: Memphis Redbirds Home Games

Baseball games are back in the 901, and the Redbirds are ready for an unforgettable season. Throughout April, there are special promotions, including hot dog buffets and themed nights, so check out the complete schedule at milb.com

Dixon Gallery and Gardens hosts an egg hunt on April 4, starting at 9 a.m. There are two groups — one for ages 3 and under and another for ages 4 to 8. Children can enjoy snacks, juice, and a visit from the Easter bunny, and with the tulips in bloom, it’s the perfect spot for a photo op. April 4, 2026: April Lightfoot Farm Market

The Lightfoot Farm Market in Millington is back for another year! From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can support local artisans and vendors while snagging some incredible finds, fresh produce, handmade items, treats, and more. Learn more at facebook.com

April 4, 2026: River Front Easter Festival

Starting at 11 a.m., this holiday fest at Mud Island River Park features one of the largest egg hunts, with over 20,000 eggs! The whole crew can enjoy food trucks, live music, bounce houses, and free kid-friendly food (while supplies last). Visit the Facebook event page to learn more.

April 9, 17, & 24, 2026: Memphis Italian Film Festival

The national Italian Film Fest is coming to Memphis for three showings. Two take place at the University Center Theatre; another one is at Dixon’s Winegardner Auditorium. Events are free to attend. For the list of movies and showtimes, visit italianfilmfests.org.

April 10, 2026: Blue Jean Ball Auction and Gala

Give back this month by participating in the Blue Jean Ball. Located at the FedEx Event Center, this auction and gala support the Concord Academy to help local students thrive. Enjoy live music, food, and drinks during this charitable event. Get your tickets HERE.

April 11, 2026: Family Tunes and Tales With the Memphis Symphony Orchestra

The Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library hosts a free family night on April 11. Beginning at 11 a.m., the percussion section of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra accompanies a reading of Zack Brown’s Stripes. Find out more on the Facebook event page.

April 11, 2026: Bartlett Bayou Bash

Ragin’ Cajun Restaurant brings a little bit of New Orleans to Bartlett with the Baypu Bash. The crawfish boil includes live music from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at W.J. Freeman Park, making it a great family-friendly event. To learn more, click HERE.

April 15, 2026: Spring Plant Sale Preview-Party

April 17 – 19, 2026: Africa in April Festival

April 17 & 18, 2026: Shell Daze Music Festival

April 18, 2026: 6th Annual Cooper-Young Porchfest

April 24, 2026: Memphis Zoo Roar and Pour

Take a trip on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail with a mix of local and state-wide favorites, ranging from Old Dominick Distillery to Ole Smoky Distillery. April 24, 2026: Memphis ReStore Plant Swap & Shop
