Frist Art Museum
An exciting hub of Nashville’s artistic and cultural scene, the Frist Art Museum is a nonprofit art exhibition center dedicated to presenting the finest visual art from all over the world, including works from local and regional artists. As a non-collecting institution with new exhibitions opening every six to eight weeks, there is always something new to see and experience. The Frist offers a wide variety of programming, including lectures, concerts, films, and family activities. On site is a gift shop, Café Cheeserie, and the award-winning, interactive Martin ArtQuest gallery, where guests can create their own works of art. The Frist occupies Nashville’s former main post office building, a 124,400-square-foot facility with more than 45,000 square feet of combined exhibition and public space. The city’s treasured Art Deco structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Admission for guests ages 18 and younger is always free.
