Lauren Brook Jewelry
More Info: laurenbrookjewelry.com
If you are a minimalist at heart, you will love the simple elegance of the Lauren Brook Jewelry collection. Designed to elevate everyday wardrobes, its approachable pieces feature gentle organic lines and artistic shapes fashioned from sterling silver, 14-karat gold, and precious and semi-precious stones.
The eponymous jewelry line began as a hobby for Lauren Tester, who started making jewelry as a fun distraction from stressful college classes. She loved it so much that she bought a beginner’s metalsmith kit and taught herself to solder. In 2016, she began crafting her own pieces to sell on Etsy and showcasing her work at art shows; a business was born.
You can find her one-of-a-kind earrings and necklaces at several local stores, including Falling Into Place and Avenue Wrapping, or purchase your favorites through her website.
Janey Bee Jems
More Info: janeybeejems.com
Nostalgic charm necklaces are making a comeback, and Janey Bee Jems makes some of the most enchanting ones around. From chunky chains adorned with bold, vintage-inspired pendants to dainty chains with sentimental enamel charms, designer Brooke Ballard creates eye-catching necklaces that can be worn solo or layered to make a statement with any outfit.
Janey Bee Jems officially launched in 2015, when Brooke left her planned career path in nursing to pursue her passion for fashion. She started making tassel necklaces at her parents’ kitchen table. Now, she works with more than 60 retailers nationwide, including Anthropologie, which recently began selling her collection online.
Brooke also hosts pop-up charm bars around town, where customers can create their own necklaces. Shop her site for her latest creations—including fanciful earrings with whimsical charms—or browse her virtual charm bar to design a necklace that expresses your individuality.
Amy Wells Designs

Boho chic is the vibe that best describes jewelry made by Amy Wells, a self-described free spirit and the designer and owner of Amy Wells Designs. Amy launched her jewelry brand in 2004 while on maternity leave from the financial services industry and never looked back.
In keeping with her love of all things rustic, she crafts her designs using natural gems, freshwater pearls, fine silver, mixed metals, and naturally dyed leather. Her diverse collection of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces ranges from delicate styles to statement pieces and brings an earthy charm to any outfit.
Gold + Stone
More Info: shopgoldandstone.com
From bejeweled bracelet stacks and disco hoop earrings to chandelier pendants and layered drop necklaces, Gold+Stone is known for its fun fashion jewelry. The creative force behind the venture is Memphis native Sophia Margaritis. Sophia started making jewelry for herself and her friends as a college student at the University of Arkansas. Her designs were such a hit that she decided to turn it into a career.
Since then, she has exhibited in showrooms from Atlanta to Los Angeles and sold her jewelry in stores across the country. Along with semiprecious gemstones (she’s a huge fan of pyrite!), Sophia creates her designs with various materials, including antique and matte-finish chains, freshwater pearls, antique charms, and even deer hide.
Locally, Gold+Stone jewelry is available at Social Memphis and La Maison Antiques, or you can order through the website, which offers free shipping.
