The Frist Art Museum presents an intimate exhibition organized by the National Portrait Gallery, London, featuring recently discovered photographs taken by Paul McCartney between December 1963 and February 1964. Capturing The Beatles—McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—at the dawn of Beatlemania, these personal images offer a rare glimpse into their rise from Britain’s favorite band to a global cultural phenomenon, including gigs in Liverpool and London and their historic performance on The Ed Sullivan Show before a television audience of 73 million.
