Wednesday, September 17 will be the second annual Eat Green for Tennessee event, put on by The Land Trust for Tennessee. Local restaurants will give a percentage of the full day’s sales to support work protecting local farms and Tennessee’s natural open spaces.
41% of Tennessee’s acreage is farmland. Conserving farms bolsters a major economic driver in Tennessee. It supports farming families, the local food industry and tourism…by preserving landscapes that distinguish our state.
The Land Trust protects Tennessee land for you and your family to have places to bike, hike, fish, farm, eat locally, play, relax, be healthy and breathe deeply… forever.
