Instead of keeping a desperately tight hold on the dwindling weeks of summer, we’re heading into August with a fresh mentality and true anticipation for everything happening in Nashville this month. What better way to feel excited about everything August has to offer than to step up our outfits for a few dressier evening gatherings? As we head to the intricate and beautiful lobby at The Hermitage Hotel for the Music in the Lobby Summer Series, sip on international wines while raising money for The New Beginnings Center at Wines Around the World and explore art through the annual fundraiser Music & Masterpieces, benefitting the Thisbe & Noah Scott Foundation, we’re appropriately prepared thanks to some talented local friends.
We were honored to have Music & Masterpieces‘ feature artist Carey Haynes join us as our model for the photoshoot. Carey has been contributing her work to this incredible event for five years now, and this year, her beautiful collection of encaustic art will be available for auction at the fundraiser on August 24. Nashville stylist Molly Russell lent her expertise in selecting eight different ensembles, with pieces from Oak Hall, Gus Mayer and e.Allen Boutique. We had a blast watching these two women come together and fully embrace the excitement and spirit behind these three events in the wondrous photoshoot setting that is The Hermitage Hotel.

We are always looking for an excuse to soak in the exquisite scenery of The Hermitage Hotel, and this month, we can do it every Friday evening at Music in the Lobby! Sit and relax in the lobby of this historic hotel to enjoy a great lineup of local musicians, while you sip on refreshments and crafted cocktails. On five different days this summer, you’re invited to stop in and experience the splendor of music that comes to life on this unique “stage.” You might even make it a regular Friday routine for the month of August!
What to Wear: We love that this mini concert series welcomes you in whatever your Friday evening ensemble might be. In efforts to embrace the season and utilize some of the cutest trends from these local boutiques, we’ve gathered a variety of comfortable, casual and also dressier looks to give you some inspiration to head to the lobby and start your Friday evenings on the right note.

What to Wear: In raising money to help TNBC continue its mission to empower women, we’re looking to dress in what makes us feel empowered.
