November has arrived, and with it comes the introduction of all things seasonal. From party preparation to gift shopping, our lives are about to get hectic! But before we delve into the madness that coincides with the holiday season, we set aside time to make sure this busy month is still filled with some serious fun. Whether you’re dressed to the nines for The Conservancy Gala, headed to the Loveless for Harvest Moon or supporting the Nashville Fashion Alliance (NFA), November is sure to be a blast.
Keeping these local happenings in mind, we headed out to shoot some stylish looks on a beautiful fall day alongside talented stylist Katie Ferrell of The Ideal Closet and our two stunning models, NFA business owner Alizah Greenberg and NFA mentor affiliate Nina Thomas. With styles pulled from H. Audrey, Jamie and Johnston & Murphy paired with some of Alizah’s own jewelry designs, these 10 looks will provide you with some major fall fashion inspiration.
The Event: “Then & Now” Conservancy Gala
- November 4, 2017
- Black-tie attire
- Tickets start at $500 per person.
This year’s “Then & Now” Conservancy Gala will highlight the impressive past and exciting present and future of Centennial Park while paying homage to the Tennessee Centennial Exposition of 1897. With over 300,000 people visiting the Parthenon and more than 2 million visiting the park each year, local support is crucial to its success.
What to Wear: As with any gala, you’ll want to arrive in your very best! From fur to floor-length gowns, this is a black-tie event at its finest. We’re also big fans of jewel-tones for fall (think emerald green or sapphire blue).
The Event: Harvest Moon
- November 11, 2017
- Dressy denim attire
- Tickets are $250 each.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is hosting their 34th annual Harvest Moon at the Loveless Barn. Join them for delicious food, sensational sips, an outstanding auction and a party band, all to support those struggling with hunger in the Nashville community. With event planning by Amos Gott of AmosEvents, it’s sure to not only be a fun but beautiful evening.
What to Wear: With the Loveless Barn as its setting, this event calls for dressy denim. Pair a silk blouse with your favorite pair of jeans, toss on some booties, and you’re all set!
The Event: NFA Honors
- November 16, 2017
- Slightly dressy attire
- Tickets start at $200.
If you love fashion and Nashville, then you won’t want to miss this event! NFA Honors is an arts-immersive event honoring fashion industry advocates and entrepreneurs through a public- and peer-voted awards ceremony hosted at Marathon Music Works. This year’s theme is “Art and Commerce: Tradition and Transformation,” and it will feature an interactive red carpet, VIP cocktail experience, locally curated art, musical performances, a three-course dinner and more.
What to Wear: This event will feature the best in local fashion, so you’ll want to wear an outfit that makes a statement, and being an evening event in mid-November, you can’t forget layers. Take the edgy route with a studded fur coat, or keep it classy with a camel peacoat.
