What to Wear in Nashville: March Trends

February 22, 2018 by Molly Peach

March is almost here! We’re ready to say goodbye to winter and wave hello to the months of sunshine waiting for us just around the corner. Along with these warmer temps, we’re ushering in some highly anticipated spring trends and local events here in Nashville. From pastels to layered jewelry, you’re sure to be looking forward to sporting these looks to any of March’s happenings.

Whether you’re supporting the Belcourt Theatre at A Red Carpet Evening, exercising your love for food at Tennessee Flavors or socializing at MAD Bash, March is going to be a month of fun. To ensure you’re on-trend, stylist Meredith Mathis pulled together ten swoon-worthy styles from local boutiques e. Allen, Hemline, Judith Bright and MODA Boutique topped off with makeup looks by The Cosmetic Market. Modeled by MAD Bash hosts Sara Perry and Rankin McGugin at the Adventure Science Center, these styles will have you itching for beautiful blooms and blue skies. Read on for some serious spring inspiration!

The Event: A Red Carpet Evening

  • March 4, 2018
  • 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Formal attire

Join film fans on Hollywood’s biggest night to watch the 90th Academy Awards on the Belcourt’s big screens and walk Nashville’s very own red carpet. Supporting the Belcourt Theatre, the evening will have a silent auction, delectable food and drinks, a high-end backstage lounge and plenty of movie buzz.

What to Wear: You’re headed for the red carpet, so you’ll want to dress like it. From floor-length gowns to fun cocktail dresses, make it a point to look classy! Stylist Meredith Mathis pointed out layered jewelry as a big trend this season. “If you don’t have a statement necklace to complement your outfit, then layer your favorite gold chains to add that something extra.”

Of course, these looks wouldn’t be complete without a bit of pampering. Olivia from The Cosmetic Market noted, “Makeup for spring really focuses on beautiful, glowing skin. An illuminating foundation and primer add a lit-from-within glow.”
