There is so much going in February and you don’t want to miss out because of wardrobe challenges. We’re here to help … for the ladies at least. Men, you are on your own today.
We’ve picked three events to highlight that might prove difficult:
Feb 13, 2014: FAR at OZ
OZ’s is hosting FAR and it is really quite the event. At just $60 a ticket, the show promises to dazzle. Wayne McGregor, the man behind this Random Dance production is perhaps the hottest choreographer on the planet right now. Here are some quotes about FAR: “Like no dance I’ve ever imagined or seen.”—The Guardian; “If any artist has defined the decade – It’s Wayne McGregor.”—Times (London); “He’s doing some of the most exciting work in ballet on the planet.” —The New York Times

We hooked up with H. Audrey for suggestions and they steered us oh-so-right. Instead of making the outfits “upscale ballet,” we went for a funkier mix, since the dance is exactly that. With so much of the store on sale right now, you can really score some amazing pieces which are perfect for this event.
Feb 14th: Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is just a problematic “holiday,” isn’t it? Here are some suggestions for what to wear that allow you to embrace the red, pink and hearts while keeping your dignity intact!
We partnered with the Nordstrom stylists and asked for looks at varying price points and this is what they came up with.
As an aside, the Nordstrom stylists are easy to work with. Make an appointment for a total closet overhaul or to find the perfect outfit–even one you need that very night! Plus, they can be a dream come true when dealing with teenage sons or daughters. Give them an amount to spend, what your expectations are, and then come back and see if you approve. No more fights! This service is complimentary. Email Michelle Tinsley and she will match you with a stylist that meets your needs: [email protected].
Feb 21, 2014: Three Blind Vines
This fun event raises money for the Franklin Theatre, but it’s a theme party. This either makes your heart skip a beat or leaves you thinking, “This is not my party.” Today, we embrace the theme “Classic Hollywood” for the women who may not want to head to the costume store. And, the ticket price is very reasonable: $35 in advance, $45 at the door and $100 for a VIP pass.

We partnered with the Franklin location of POSH at the McEwen Center. They expertly guided us to these looks that give a nod to the theme, but allow you wear something you will actually wear again!
