Barbara’s Home Cookin’ has a near cult-like following for the yeast rolls that are basically bread nirvana. Order up a dozen of the famous rolls for a mere $7 each. This “just like Mama makes” restaurant is a tiny gem that produces amazing Thanksgiving sides, like squash and sweet potato casserole, as well as roasted boneless turkey breast and smoked bone-in turkey breast for around $75. Brentwood locals love City Cafe for the meat-and-three offerings, but this time of year, they love it for its Thanksgiving options, as well. The folks at City Cafe roast whole turkeys and slice them up for you for $14.25 per pound. Corn bread dressing and traditional sides are also available. The best sellers, though, are their pies.
