We had the pleasure of attending a media preview night for a holiday event in its first year at Fontanel Nashville. Called “SPARKLE: A Country Christmas Carol,” the display is perfectly seasonal and promises to get all who attend into the holiday spirit!
Building on the success of “Glow: A Jack O’Lantern Experience,” SPARKLE brings the classic Charles Dickens tale to (larger-than-) life. Scenes are illustrated with huge lanterns created by Townsquare Live Events in the traditional Chinese lantern style. Read each part of the story, and then marvel at the brilliantly designed and wildly colorful lanterns that illustrate it. The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future all pay Ebenezer Scrooge a visit, and in the end, the heart-warming sentiment of generosity and love prevail.
“We’re excited to share Dickens’ traditional story in such a spectacular new way,” says Shannon Donnelly, Vice President of Townsquare, “and of course, combining that with a magnificent country finale makes SPARKLE: A Country Christmas Carol a very memorable holiday experience.”
We completely agree!
At the end of the story, you arrive at the finale — a six-story-tall LED Christmas tree “screen” that features a synchronized light show set to classic Christmas songs.
Rally the troops, bundle up, grab some hot chocolate (available for purchase), and enjoy this wonderful start to the holiday season!
