Scarlett Scales Antiques and StyleBlueprint have grown up together. One of our first articles ever published was about a visit to her quaint store on Margin Street in Franklin. Her first store was over-the-top charming. Seriously, every corner was chock-full of fanciful finds, re-purposed antiques and lighting and wonderful tchotchkes.
So when I headed to Franklin last weekend, I was thrilled to finally get to visit the newest location of this wonderful shop (right around the corner on 2nd Avenue) that she’s been operating with her husband since 2012. The only way to describe her new location is Scarlett Scales on steroids. Before, her shop was two small rooms; now it’s HUGE with multiple rooms, all with specific themes.
What hasn’t changed is her beautifully curated collection. It’s hard to imagine that one woman, or, rather the husband/wife team, can create such a glorious space. For the seasoned antiques shopper, you will find a haven of collectible, fabulous furniture, prints, china, architectural artifacts and lighting.
If gifts are what you have in mind, Scarlett has soaps, linens, glassware, jewelry, clothing and more.
If you are in the market for Easter decorations, her selection is both whimsical and unique.
What I enjoyed most was that each of the rooms in her shops are themed and coordinated with color and texture.
If you haven’t made a trip to Scarlett Scales, put this address in your GPS and go: 246 Second Avenue, Franklin, TN. This beautiful store is a feast for the eyes all the way around!
