SB FINDS Nashville: September 2015
Fringe is definitely the hot trend this fall, and we are seeing it on all kinds of accessories. For those not ready to wear it on a vest or shoe, consider incorporating the style into your ensemble with a bag like this one we found at Gus Mayer. The clutch is the perfect size for night-out essentials and will add flair to any outfit! Available for $298
Fabulous local items are hard to resist, and these frames from Madison Montgomery are no exception. Designed and crafted in Nashville, the frames are made specifically to suit women’s faces, enhancing delicate features, refracting light onto eyes and, of course, granting confidence! Stop in Berry Eye Care to snag a pair for $320.
We love the Marci suede fringe bootie by Howstie for its more subtle fringe that is still playful and fun. Throw these on with a pair of jeans, longer tunic-style top and a vest, and you’ll be ready to take fall (and fall fashion) by storm! Available at Calypso St. Barth for $325
Tech-y cork clutch
This is not your average clutch! A product from The Mighty Purse, this item charges your cell phone while you are on the go. Avoid a dead battery with this simple, stylish and practical piece from The Willow Tree. We love how the design easily transitions from summer to fall; for another fashion-forward approach, shop their fringe charging clutch for $139.95 (not pictured) or this cork clutch below, sold for $99.95 at The Willow Tree.
While we all treat our grandmother’s quilts affectionately and admire the love and hard work that went into them, we do not shy away from store-bought quilts. These are made with 100 percent cotton and are sold in a variety of sizes. For a full set, spring for the matching pillowcases. Prices range from $325 to $375 at Gilchrist Gilchrist.
Fabulous farm table
This walnut farm table would be perfect for any eat-in kitchen or casual dining room. The rich wood contrasts beautifully with the sturdy white legs, allowing the piece to blend in both formal and informal spaces. Though the retail value is $2,400, The Velvet Shoestring, a high-end furniture consignor, sells the piece new for $1,500.
We love this vintage trunk from Preservation Station. The well-loved piece could be transformed into a charming coffee table (and subsequent conversation piece!) or even sit at the end of a bed, full of warm blankets for the cooler months ahead. Available for $195
Sick of staring at that same terra cotta potted plant you’ve had in the corner for months? Change up your botanical decor with this gorgeous stone container from COLOR. The gray hue is the perfect complement to the fall plants with deep greens and purples. Available for $225

With the gorgeous weather we’ve been having, planting your bushes and perennials now is good thinking, or swap out your cracked containers for new ones … so many options!
The coming of fall has us thinking about crisp nights, sweaters, boots and all the hearty, delicious food that keeps you warm throughout the season. Gnocchi and tortellini from Lazzaroli make for the perfect fall transition dish. The meat- and cheese-filled or dumpling-like pastas are an excellent base for a variety of sauces. Use the last of your summer tomatoes and some fresh herbs to make a lighter sauce, or go straight for decadence and whip up something of a creamier variety. Either way, we know you’ll leave the dinner table happy! Meat tortellini $5.99, cheese tortellini $4.99, and gnocchi $5.99.
Buttery and soft, with a rich, crumbly texture that melts in your mouth until punctuated by bursts of fresh, juicy flavor, a good muffin can be hard to find—unless you’re visiting Christie Cookie Co.
