Do you have a Nashville-based business that is fairly new, or an existing one that is stuck in a growth rut, or perhaps a business that is growing but you can’t get your head around how to make it be the best that it can be? If you answered “yes” to any of the above, then there is a proven business class that you can attend that will provide you the tools you need. I’ve heard story after story of real change that occurs when business owners take this class, and their enthusiasm and excitement is palpable.
The class is Catalyst, and it’s offered by Nashville’s EO (Entrepreneurial Organization) chapter. It’s aimed at businesses that currently have revenue of at least $250,000 a year and are looking to grow to $1 million dollars per year or more. It’s led by Michael Burcham, former head of the EC (Entrepreneurial Center), who also has taught business classes at Vanderbilt for over a decade after teaching for several years at Belmont University. He currently teaches Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Owen School of Business and is the CEO of Narus Health. Each and every class promises to be “mind blowing” — at least that is the feedback I hear over and over again.
Classes are limited to just 40 people and this will be the seventh year for this class offering. What’s amazing is that 100% of all participants have stated that they would recommend Catalyst to fellow entrepreneurs. And, last year’s Catalyst class realized, on average, 132% growth in revenue. The classes represent a diverse group of Nashville industry as well as a diverse group of people and backgrounds.
“The whole experience has brought tremendous personal growth, business knowledge growth and business relationships.” – Norma Paz, Las Paletas
“The resources and the people that are available through the EO Catalyst is worth its weight in gold.” – Dan Stephenson, Dan’s Mac & Cheese
“Catalyst was a transformative experience for me both personally and professionally. Professionally, the program challenged me to think bigger and broader about my company and our opportunities. Personally, the program connected me with other Nashville entrepreneurs in similar circumstances; a community that has supported me through thick and thin. Not feeling alone or isolated has been hugely important to my personal growth and development.” — Amy Tanksley, Uncle Classic Barbershop
Catalyst meets every other Wednesday, and some just a week apart, at the EC from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dates are:

I very much wish I could go back in time and take this course during the first few years of StyleBlueprint. I have the opportunity to audit the class this year, as a member of EO, and I’m sure it will be extremely helpful to me now as well!
