There are so many cosmetic companies – some good, some not so good. But, how about a cosmetic company that not only creates a great product, but also gives back as well? (Plā) Beauty is just that company.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Stephanie Green-Bass this past summer – yes, it was over coffee. (I drink a lot of coffee with my job.) My son joined us and she was kind enough to give him his choice of treats. Check out this happy boy:
After meeting with Stephanie, and wearing her lip glosses – a mainstay in my purse right now, as I have three of them in rotation – I knew I had to introduce you all to her, her cosmetic line and her story. You can meet her in person at an event sponsored by Woo Skincare + Cosmetics on Sept 29th and 30th.
Stephanie has always enjoyed the power of makeup. We all know what this means: no matter how much or how little makeup you wear, when you feel you look your best, your confidence soars and your day is better. The outer enhancement simply penetrates to let your inner best and beauty shine.
The routine of getting “fixed up” became a daily therapy for Stephanie after losing her infant daughter, Bella, in 2004. As she came out of the deep fog, she imagined how great it would be to have an eco-friendly cosmetic line that not only enhanced the woman’s beauty applying it, but enhanced the community of parents and children affected by illness, disease and tragedy. The staff at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta were wonderful during her infant daughter’s fight for life. She wanted to make sure she gave back to them. With her retail and cosmetic background, she quit her job and launched (Plā) Beauty with just that intention.
(Plā) Beauty (pronounced PLAY), is a specially formulated, high-quality customizable, refillable cosmetic line, which contains paraben-free, hypoallergenic products, infused with antioxidants and hydrating properties.
(Plā) Beauty offers environmentally friendly makeup that creates more than just a physical impression – it provides women an opportunity to reveal both their inner and outer beauty by helping support children. (Plā) Beauty partners in Atlanta with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and in Nashville with Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. With each purchase, a percentage is set aside for these hospitals.
The extensive makeup line consists of luscious lipsticks, glosses, and liners; stunning eye shadows, blushers and bronzers; and (Plā) all day foundations, mascaras, primers, and concealers. Prices range from $16-$40.
I knew you’d want to know about this. Stephanie’s passion is just a joy to witness. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and daughter, Ava.
Join Woo on Sept 29th and 30th to meet Stephanie and see the entire collection of (Plā) Beauty:
