When you think of a hotel stay, visions of rest and relaxation probably come to mind, but rarely do you find a hotel as focused on the wellness and ways you can maintain your health habits during your travels. The Westin Nashville, however, is doing just that and so much more, from their luxurious 3rd-floor Rhapsody Spa and state-of-the-art fitness facility to their new Sunday meditation classes in which both guests and locals can partake. Committed to guests’ comfort and well-being, The Westin Nashville may take the title of Music City’s healthiest hotel.

“We focus equally on the experience and on how we send our guests home,” says General Manager Jeff Crabiel, “We don’t want our travelers leaving exhausted, so we offer an experience that offers a bit of fun with craft cocktails and entertainment in our L27 Rooftop Lounge, a bit of health with our Eat Well menu offerings and Running Concierge program and a bit of relaxation with our soothing Rhapsody Spa treatment menu.”

Don’t walk, RUN! to The Westin Nashville for a revitalizing and refreshing stay. And if you forgot to pack your running shoes, you can rent New Balance gear at the hotel. (Yes, seriously!)

If you’ve noticed a recent cultural shift toward holistic wellness and taking care of oneself (and seen #SelfCareSunday hashtags floating around Instagram), you’re not alone. Crabiel shares that current tourism trends and guest feedback point to the fact that more and more people are seeking and expect to find ways to fulfill their wellness goals while traveling.

“The Westin brand is the preeminent wellness brand in hospitality, empowering guests to regain control and enhance their well-being when they need it most while traveling,” he explains. “At The Westin Nashville, our guests may enjoy a night out on the town and then recharge at the Rhapsody Spa the next morning,” (Crabiel recommends their new CBD massage) “Guests may tour the neighboring legendary Country Music Hall of Fame and then break for a healthy snack or fresh juice in the lobby restaurant, Decker & Dyer. They can visit the nearby Frist Art Museum and then enjoy a mindful moment at our new Sunday evening meditation sessions led by Flourish Meditation.” says Crabiel.

These meditation classes are open to anyone, guests and non-guests, and you can sign up through the MindBody app or contact Flourish Meditation directly.

Sunday meditation sessions are now offered at The Westin Nashville in partnership with Flourish Meditation.

Aside from the amazing addition of the meditation sessions, The Westin offers an array of other health and wellness opportunities for guests, starting with everyone’s favorite subject— food. “Our team is committed to helping guests find healthy options while on the road,” Jeff says. “Most people think they will only find hot chicken and biscuits around Nashville, and while that can be found on our menus, we also have great options from our Westin brand Eat Well Menu including breakfast overnight oats or a lunch quinoa salad, for example.”

The fitness center includes two Peloton bikes, TRX Suspension Training systems, as well as all Life Fitness brand treadmills, ellipticals, a stationary bike and weight machines. “But, if running is more your style, our Running Concierge will meet you in the lobby bright and early to take you on a great run, and you can even borrow fitness gear through our Fitness Lending Program in partnership with New Balance,” Jeff adds.

A well-rounded approach to your self-care includes a healthy menu, also available at The Westin.

And what’s a hotel stay without a little pampering? Rhapsody Spa is a retreat from the outside world, offering a quiet space of surrender, solitude, and soothing touch. With nine treatment rooms, a lovely relaxation lounge, a nail salon and (coming-soon) blowout salon, Rhapsody Spa is the ideal place to unwind and restore.

Ultimately, Crabiel firmly believes that self-care is a vital need for Westin Nashville’s guests. “We are all running from one meeting to the next, one task to the next, one urgent need to the next. We want to be that place where our guests can feel supported in their wellness goals.”
