Landmark Booksellers owners Joel and Carol Tomlin create a welcoming atmosphere at The Old Factory Store in Franklin. From a 50,000+ collection of books, which helped open the Tomlins’ original bookstore in Green Hills, the duo has grown their selection to represent Tennessee and Southern literature and other rare books in the two-story shop.

McKay’s Nashville

McKay’s is the megastore for all things secondhand. While their primary resource is used books, you can also score vinyl records, audiobooks, video games, computer and board games, CDs, DVDs, cameras, old gaming systems and so much more! Head over to Old Hickory Boulevard to check out the warehouse-sized building with something for everyone.

Rhino Booksellers

Open since 1979, Rhino Booksellers is a Nashville gem filled with the smell of old books and approximately 75,000 titles. Rhino’s owner, Fred Koller, shares his love for books with Music City, filling shelves with first editions and even having a vault with priceless books he has collected over the years.

Ernest Tubb Record Shop

If you’re downtown, be sure to check out Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broadway. Founded by Grand Ole Opry star Ernest Tubb in 1947, this charming store is home to country and bluegrass vinyl and CDs, DVDs, books and plenty of memorabilia.

The Great Escape

Since 1977, The Great Escape has been buying, selling and trading records, cassettes, CDs and more. Beyond records, this Charlotte Pike store also offers a variety of comics, books, movies, CDs, collectibles, posters and more.

Grimey’s

Surf through the aisles (or online only for now) of Grimey’s in East Nashville to discover new and pre-loved records. Beyond just bringing vinyl to Music City, Grimey’s also hosts various shows and happenings at their shop, though those are on hold for now. The Groove

If you’re looking for old school vinyl or a classic CD, chances are you’ll find what you’re looking for at The Groove. And when it’s time to gather in groups again, join The Groove on Thursday evenings for open mic comedy starting a 6 p.m.

In the mood to get a new record and grab a beer? Look no further than Vinyl Tap. The East Nashville store serves as a place to get a new or used record while taking a sip of one of its local and regional craft beer selections.
