When Miranda and Matt made the decision to tie the knot, the knew they wanted to continue to share in life’s ups and downs just as they had for the past seven years. Miranda and Matt, a few years her senior, met through mutual friends at a party months before Miranda was set to graduate high school, and sparks flew. The pair hit it off, and on July 4, 2014, Matt asked for her hand in marriage as fireworks lit up the sky in Peachtree City, GA. Miranda responded with a resounding “Yes!” Ten months after that memorable night, they wed in a historic home in Franklin, TN, in a truly romantic atmosphere.
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Franklin, Lille Belle’s is a well-know wedding and event venue. The property includes a Queen Anne-style Victorian home constructed in 1892. Brimming with charm and elegance, this venue acted as the ideal spot for the couple’s May wedding. In the presence of 160 friends and family, Miranda and Matt exchanged traditional vows with a bit of tweaking. The ceremony and celebration that followed was a clear indicator of the couple’s love for each other. With help from Sara Gibbs, Lille Belle’s wedding coordinator, Miranda selected lavender as her focal color for the day. This decision fueled a lot of the choices for the flowers and the decor, resulting in a soft, feminine color palette.
After the ceremony, wine, beer and small appetizers were served as guests mingled and the Lille Belle’s team flipped the ceremony space for the reception. Following the cocktail hour, a buffet of Southern favorites, including fried chicken, mac and cheese, beans, potatoes and cornbread, was opened to the crowd. After guests enjoyed dinner, they took to the dance floor, and the DJ kept the party going. The newlyweds danced to “Hey Pretty Girl,” by Kip Moore; Miranda danced with her father to “My Little Girl,” by Tim McGraw; and she danced with her stepfather to “You Look Wonderful Tonight,” by Frank Sinatra. A long evening of dancing and laughter ensued.
After enjoying the night of their dreams, Miranda and Matt continued the celebration by heading to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Happily married, the couple is sticking close to home. Matt was born in Nashville and grew up and Brentwood, and Miranda was born and raised in Franklin. They currently reside in Bellevue but hope to buy a house in Franklin, where her mom and stepdad live.
Congrats to the happy couple, and here’s to a life filled with love and happiness!
