I have a girl crush on Jamie Beckwith. What is a girl crush? It’s when you meet someone who you just instantly adore and think “How have I gone all these years without you as a friend? You’re awesome!” The counter to this, for guys, is a bromance. Same thing – just funny words to describe it. But, back to Jamie: you may have heard of her as she has a fabulous reputation as an interior designer along with her own home decor store, Beckwith Interiors, and a line of wooden tiles, The Jamie Beckwith Collection, that pretty much left me speechless. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to Jamie:

Jamie Beckwith
Jamie Beckwith came to Nashville the same way many of our finest do, by way of music. After some serious soul searching, she gave up that pursuit to settle down with her husband and three children. During this time she dug a little deeper into an area that really piqued her interest: home decor. Even when on the road singing, she always found that the home decor magazines and books kept her attention and left her wanting to learn more. Today, the decision to follow her heart as paid off as you’ll find this new designer taking on the design world with gusto. Check out her website for her complete portfolio.

Her big break? Well, I can’t name names, but she was helping out some friends and finally let everyone know she was making a serious go out of this design “thing.” That meant she’d be charging a fee! One friend suggested she submit her work to a certain high profile couple here in town who was looking for a designer… low and behold, they picked her! The confidence brought by their belief in her, a designer without an office or a huge portfolio, spurred on her decision to open the Beckwith Interiors shop, which includes her design office in the back.

A peek inside the Beckwith Interiors Home Decor store. Definitely worth stopping by. On top of a great selection, everyone who works here is nice and knowledgeable.
And, for all of you who know how I like to go at 100 miles per hour, you’ll appreciate why I just love this girl when I found out that not only had she accomplished all of the aforementioned in the past few years, but she also designed and launched her own line of wooden tiles, tubs and sinks called The Jamie Beckwith Collection. Does she sleep? Here are some pictures of her line, available across the country.

How cool and cozy, at once, is this tub? Far more welcoming than my porcelain one.

How about this for your powder room? What a conversation piece!
If you live in Nashville, take advantage and stop by Beckwith Interiors, located near the Belle Meade Bread and Company. For those of you who don’t live in Nashville, many of her store’s offerings are available online and there are reps for the Jamie Beckwith Collection throughout the country.
Now, you have a girl crush too, don’t you?!
