With the arrival of spring, we love the opportunity to spend our weekends strolling through our favorite local farmers’ markets. Although they aren’t quite running as they typically would, they are adjusting how they work with local farmers and artisans to provide you with fresh, local products you love. Here’s how you can support local farmers and artisans while complying with the most current social-distancing guidelines.

Drive-thru: Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon
The market is temporarily closed; however, you can still support Middle Tennessee farmers and artisans by taking advantage of the market’s drive-thru services. For the drive-thru service, check online for the week’s participating vendors. The market suggests calling vendors before Saturday to pre-order items and ensure each vendor will have what you need.
On Saturday, the drive-thru service opens at 9 a.m. Once pulling in, make sure to follow the signs and cues from staff members. Throughout the drive-thru line, you can stop at vendors you pre-ordered from or others that may catch your eye. The market urges customers to be courteous of others by pulling over to the right and minimizing conversations with vendors. Stay up to date with the varying curbside pickup options by reading the market’s weekly blog posts or by following Nashville Farmers Market on Instagram.
