This new highlighting trick, from the experts at The Cosmetic Market, is perfect for achieving instant glowing summer skin. “Highlighting brings light to the skin and helps us look younger, healthier and more awake,” Mary Kathryn Yeiser, Regional Sales Manager for Therapy Systems Companies tells us. “The key is to keep your bronzer on the outside of the face and then highlight the areas where you are not bronzing.”
We were advised to use this highlighting trick when we want to take our glow to the next level, and we advise you to do the same! To achieve the look, use a highlighter with some color to it, but more shimmer and glow. Highlighters with a touch of bronze, peach or pink look best. “It can be worn during the day but looks especially pretty on summer evenings when it catches the light, and it’s perfect for a special occasion. We recommend using this trick on the cheekbones only, but do recommend applying a touch of highlighter on the inner corner of the eye, on the brow bone, cupids bow,” Mary Katherine continues.
Follow these four tips to master the look:
- Using the Jane Iredale Chisel Powder Brush, swirl the brush in Moonglow Bronzer. (The product we are using does not have a lot of color pigment to start. So by spraying the brush, we are accentuating the shimmer in the product and it is only depositing a little bit of color. To do this trick you definitely want to use a product that has both shimmer and color!)
- Spritz the brush twice with a Jane Iredale Hydration Spray.
- Starting above the cheekbone, stipple the powder on the apples of the cheek up toward the hairline.
- A little goes a long(er) way. Repeat this for a more pronounced glow.
