While everyone was on Spring Break last week you may have missed the debut of the Liberty of London line at Target. Yes – the same Liberty prints that grace the Papa D’Anjo and J Crew collections are now, in selected prints, at TARGET. Let me just say this: hurry to Target and take advantage. Yes, many things are already sold out – even online. However, much of this lovely line is still available, and it is great. Frankly, it is a bit overwhelming just how much cute stuff there is to choose from. I’m not just talking clothes either: office supplies, organizing bins, plastic chairs, lamp shades, plastic dishes, shoes, linens, bags, bikes, scarves, hats, wallets and clothing for women, men and children. I got my newest swimsuit from this collection; it is ruched perfectly and is made from the softest fabric ever. I also bought the cutest umbrella, dress (the knee length dress pictured below…I’m not a huge fan of the maxi dresses in this collection, but I may be in the minority here…), tee shirts for my girls, boxers for my husband and some notepads for both myself and some Easter baskets that need to be filled soon. I really wanted the kitchen chairs but I have no place to put them. This collection is sure to have you fantasizing of new decor and wardrobes as well. Here are a couple of my purchases that are still available. Really, rush over to Target and give yourself TIME….you’ll want to look around.
It was hard to miss the media frenzy around the pop up store Target launched to introduce Liberty of London. After seeing the exterior of the store and the gorgeous displays inside, I get what all the ruckus was about. The store, located in Bryant Park, closed 24 hours early due to demand and oversold goods. Leave it to New Yorkers: over 11,000 shoppers queued up in a two-day period.
Liberty of London collection is massive (already mentioned by Liza), but I must say, my personal favorite is the bike. And it’s available online for $199. OK, it has sold out. But, the girls bike is still available for $169.99. Hurry!
Liberty of London is best known for its fabulous whimsical prints with an archive of over 43,000 fabrics designs. With Spring popping up all over the country, the timing for the collection’s introduction was ingenious. The airy, bright colors are exactly what the entire country needs after a long, hard winter- and on this 45 degree high March 22 Nashville day.
After a quick check on the Target website, I found most items still in stock. However, after a quick check yesterday at the Target Nashville West store- it was picked over – but there was enough there to make it worth your while to pop in. I found a great bathing suit and precious sundress for my 7 year old daughter, Amelia. Most small sizes in the women’s collection were sold out. The quality of the fabric is remarkable and worth noting. I think the Target on White Bridge Road has small elves that shop during the wee hours of the morning because they never have my size.
Here is my favorite display from the pop up store in Bryant Park.
