Last year in Davidson County, 6,070 marriages were recorded by Tennessee Department of Health, Division of Policy, Planning and Assessment. While we can only guess that 6,070 of those marriages were as lovely as the next, we can confirm that 11 of 2017’s marriages were downright stunning. Local event planners, venues and florists submitted (one of) their favorite weddings of the year, so we can oooh and ahhh at all the gorgeous details. From a city-meets-country wedding in March to a farm wedding filled with personal touches in November, each one of these celebrations was a picture-perfect affair. Scroll through the lovely pictures and imagine days filled with flowers, celebration and, most of all, LOVE!
Backyard Bash
Savannah + Brandon | at parents of the bride’s home | March 11, 2017
“Nothing is as intimate and personal as an at-home wedding. The bride’s parents’ backyard was the location for this beautiful wedding reception,” Kristen Winston of Kristen Winston Catering says. “There was even a surprise snow that day. The guests enjoyed a seated dinner and danced the night away under a large tent. The couple’s send-off included a beautiful fireworks display.”
City Meets Country
Natalie + Danny | at Bloomsbury Farm | March 18, 2017
“We love elevating outdoor, natural spaces with sophisticated and beautiful design elements,” Megan Proby of 12th Table tells us. “Working with a New York bride, we were able to bring a little city to the country, and the result was a beautiful contrast of styles.” With Bloomsbury Farm as the backdrop, this wedding was simple yet stunning.
Classically Romantic Wedding
Kristie + Jackson | at Cathedral of Incarnation and War Memorial Auditorium | March 18, 2017
“Jackson and Kristie Cates’ wedding was one of Rebel Hill Florist’s favorite weddings in 2017. The Cates came to Rebel Hill Florist looking to create a whimsical atmosphere with dramatic draperies and abundant florals. Garden roses, peonies and ranunculus in gorgeous blush and cream tones brought their fairytale vision to life and made their special day perfectly magical,” Rebel Hill owner Anna Page says. “We love helping couples express the joy of their wedding day with beautiful flowers and creative designs.”
Elegant Wedding in a Stunning Setting
Kelsey + Tyler | at The Hermitage Hotel | March 18, 2017
“Kelsey and Tyler envisioned a classic, elegant, Southern wedding day, and our property embodies all of these elements,” Libby Oellerich of The Hermitage Hotel tells us. “It was an honor to bring their elegant, timeless wedding vision to life! The photography from this wedding event captured our venue space well, showing that with the addition of simple and classic decor, our property speaks for the beauty of the event itself.”
Small, Intimate Wedding
Emily + Ryan | at The Harding House | March 18, 2017
“Emily and Ryan’s wedding at The Harding House in Belle Meade was a true family affair, with a small, intimate ceremony followed by a cocktail reception and dancing,” Infinity Hospitality Creative Director Ashley Hayden says. “Delicate details and soft hues of blush and ivory were the perfect touch to this sweet celebration. The excitement from the bride and groom spilled out to everyone throughout the day, leading to an after-party at the couple’s home where the group just wasn’t ready to say goodnight.”
Beautiful Spring Wedding
Lindsay + Conor | at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens | April 29, 2017
For Amos Gott of AmosEvents, picking a favorite wedding can be challenging. “I chose this one because nothing beats a beautiful spring wedding on the grounds of Cheekwood,” he tells us. “The wedding of Lindsay Pratt and Conor Stransky was a perfect start to the spring wedding season. For Lindsay and her mother Lee, I created a special weekend for the bride and groom and their guests that included the rehearsal dinner in the Veranda at The Hermitage Hotel and a welcome party on the rooftop of Aerial downtown on Friday night. Following the ceremony in the historic Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday, the guests headed to Cheekwood for cocktails on the lawn followed by a seated dinner by Kristen Winston in a clear tent draped with lush green garlands overhead and hemstitch-clothed tables covered in a variety of glass vases filled with white and pale pink florals. The Elements band from New York City provided the entertainment, which kept the guests dancing late into the night. With so many personal details included, I can’t think of a better way to welcome spring and celebrate the future of a new couple!”

Travel-Themed Wedding
Sara + Bobby | at The Bell Tower | May 28, 2017
“Sara and Bobby’s glamorous thematic wedding centered around their passion for travel and love of adventure. Neutral tones with pops of fuchsia complemented the natural ambience of The Bell Tower, and in lieu of a traditional guest book, guests signed a custom-made globe,” Infinity Hospitality Creative Director Ashley Hayden shares. “Using postcards of various cities as table numbers, each table was adorned with a photo of the couple from their trip to the table’s city. The fun and energetic bridal party kept guests dancing all night long, and showered the couple with love with a fun sparkler send off.”

Elegant Summer Wedding
Ashley + Evan | at The Bridge Building | August 26, 2017
“Ashley and Evan’s elegant summer wedding was the epitome of classic romance with a modern twist,” Ashley Hayden tells us. “Crisp ivory tones accented with dynamic pops of soft pink and navy complemented the clean, industrial lines of The Bridge Building. As the sun began to set, guests relaxed on comfortable lounge furniture near the open bar, with a subtle breeze blowing off the riverfront. The couple made a memorable exit, hopping into a classic white vintage Bentley, with chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne waiting inside.”
Fall Garden Wedding
Jennifer + John | at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens | October 14, 2017
“This wedding was extra special for us since the sweet couple also got engaged at Cheekwood,” says Cheekwood Event Operations Manager Lauren Ratcliff. “The intimate ceremony included lush greenery as accents on the chairs and stunning florals that emphasized an already beautiful fall setting.” Randi Events planned the big day, Enchanted Florist is to thank for the flowers and Music City Tents and Events handled the rentals.

A Pre-Wedding Celebration
Morgan + Russell | at Acme Feed & Seed | October 14, 2017
For many, the rehearsal dinner is just as memorable as the wedding itself. Morgan and Russell hosted their rehearsal dinner in The Hatchery (on Acme’s third floor). “This was one of the most stunning events we’ve ever had at Acme,” Chrissy Reter, Acme’s lead event coordinator, tells us. “The bride and groom were a joy to work with, and we were thrilled to be part of their celebration.”
A Wedding Filled With Personal Touches
Mercy + Jeremy | at Allenbrooke Farms | November 4, 2017
“We chose this wedding as a team. Our entire crew could literally feel the love,” Allenbrooke Farms owner Stephanie Allen tells us. “We have never had a groom surprise his bride with a huge beautiful bouquet of flowers on their wedding day! There were surprise flash mob-style songs performed, a la My Best Friend’s Wedding, and there were even surprise fireworks! The personal touches were deep and heartfelt, and every single guest was just as in love with their love as they were. It was a stunningly beautiful and palpable love.”
