Nashville is continuing to grow and with no slowing down in sight, we are feeling the growing pains. Most notably: the traffic. With the population growing and the traffic patterns remaining the same, we have braced ourselves for some quality one-on-one time with our cars. Rather than complaining about our old car that just can’t accelerate onto I-40 like it used to, we are changing our tune. This is where we introduce you to the 2018 Chevy Equinox. Chevy gave us the opportunity to test drive this car all around town just to see how it handles Nashville. Spoiler: it took on Music City pretty well.
A few stand-out features include a spacious cabin that allows for generous cargo-space, lane departure warnings, parking assistance cameras and sensors for downtown parallel parking woes, blind spot sensors for traffic lane changes, and Apple CarPlay to stream your favorite up and coming musician’s tunes. The interior’s rich leather seats transport you into what feels like a luxury vehicle, but with all the perks of the American-made durability for which we have come to love Chevy. The dreamy dual sun-roof also deserves to be pointed out. It’s just perfect for making the car feel even more roomy, especially desirable for when we’re trapped at a forever-long traffic light.
We filmed our Chevy-Takes-Nashville adventures and put together a little highlight reel of all the best Nashville has to offer. From Nashville’s famous city-wide murals to the downtown skyline to the local businesses of 12South, it all just looks better from out the window of this compact SUV.
