Fall in Memphis is one of the best seasons for fabulous events. Whether it’s pumpkin picking, concerts at the Levitt Shell or fancy galas, October is full of events to put your best “boot” forward. And we’ve got you covered with on-trend looks for three awesome upcoming events: the RiverArtsFest in Downtown Memphis, The Science of Wine at The Pink Palace Museum and Unwind for Hope at Hope House.
This edition features boutique owners rocking clothes from their own stores. Stylist Alexandra Nicole of City Chic Living modeled looks from her boutique, The Ivory Closet, while Betty Hays of Betty Hays Boutique, Lori James from Lori James Contemporary Boutique, Anna Brugge from Sachi and staff members Hardin Powell and Will Vestal of Oak Hall each modeled fabulous looks from their respective shops.
This shoot at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art is full of greenery and beautiful scenery, perfect for October. We hope you enjoy and get some fall fashion inspiration!

What to wear: This is more of a dressy occasion, so we’ll say “laid-back cocktail.” You can wear pants with heels or even a dress and booties. There are few limitations when it comes to business casual or “creative cocktail.”
The Event: Unwind for Hope Benefitting Hope House

- 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Tickets are $25.

Take a break and “un-wined” at Unwind for Hope, an event benefitting Hope House. This nonprofit serves women and children affected by HIV and poverty in the Memphis area. Sip on wine, snack on hors d’oeuvres and browse the art show, featuring the work of local female artists.
What to wear: Cocktail attire is the dress code for this special fundraising event for Hope House. This is the perfect time to wear your favorite LBD and heels! Not feeling that fancy? A dressy top, some slacks and a patterned clutch would be a great fit as well.
The Event: RiverArtsFest in Downtown Memphis

One of the most anticipated events of the season is RiverArtsFest in Downtown Memphis! With live music, art, food trucks and more, this event will be a fan favorite all while spending the day at the riverside. There will be artist demonstrations as well as hands-on art activities for all ages. More than 180 artists from around the country will be in the heart of Downtown Memphis, so come enjoy food, fun and local art while supporting the city.
What to wear: It’s fall, so pull out those booties and jackets, and get ready to roll. Grab a sweater, and maybe even a fun hat, to go along with your preferred style. Whatever your attire, you will be outside so comfort is key!
Thank you to our boutique owners for their stylish and super fun outfits for these events, Alex from City Chic Living for serving as our stylist, and to The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art for being such fabulous hosts.
And as always, thank you to the wonderful Mary Kate Steele for the beautiful photography!
