This award-winning Midtown gem has been voted “Most Romantic” restaurant in town many times — and with good reason. Located in a quaint Midtown home with cozy dining rooms, low-key lighting and top-notch service, this spot offers patrons one of the most intimate dining experiences in town. To wow your sweetie, Chef Kelly English has planned a special three-course Valentine’s menu that features lobster, filet of beef and, of course, chocolate. And if you want to celebrate before the big night, this menu will be offered starting on Friday, February 10, through Valentine’s evening. The prix fixe menu is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

ACRE is known for serving innovative, modern fare in a setting that feels like you are sharing a meal at the home of a good friend. Chefs Wally Joe and Andrew Adams will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with specials that incorporate aphrodisiacs — oysters, chocolate, passion fruit and more. In the spirit of love, the bartender plans to create a special cocktail for the evening as well.

Chez Philippe is hands down the most opulent dining room in town. The restaurant prides itself on offering dishes that are as sophisticated as its dining room is historic. For Valentine’s celebrations, Chef Andreas Kistler will be serving up a five-course meal designed to impress you and your sweetheart. Each course is whimsically named to help your evening progress in a romantic direction — ooh, la la! Plan to start out with a First Impression, enjoy some Crushing, Flirting and Teasing, then end with Are You Ready? Cost is $95 per person or $130 with a wine pairing with each course by Sommelier Priyaank Gupta. Price includes complimentary valet parking.

Be a part of the action with Chef David Krog as he serves up modern American cuisine with Southern flair. Krog’s open kitchen adds a level of energy and excitement to the elegant dining experience that is unique to Interim. The Valentine’s Day four-course meal includes scrumptious offerings such as grilled prawns Perdu, Rappahannock Oysters with Hackleback caviar, filet of beef with port wine demi-glace and rack of lamb. For the finale, the menu concludes with a romantic dessert for two. The menu is set at $65 per person, not including tax and gratuity, plus $25 if you want to add the recommended wine pairings.

A downtown favorite, McEwen’s offers diners upscale Southern cuisine in a relaxed and comfortable dining room. McEwen’s also has a great bar to enjoy craft cocktails, boutique wine and cold brews. If it’s not already booked, their basement wine cellar is one of the most romantic dining spots in town. On Valentine’s Day, Chef Keith Bambrick will be serving several special dishes — appetizers, entrees and a dessert — to complement his regular dinner and small plate menus.

Tucked away in the corner of Chickasaw Crossing strip mall, Le Jardin is the newest addition to Memphis’ gourmet-to-go offerings. Chef Karen Roth prepares delicious dishes like beef bourguignon and crab cakes that can be heated and served at home. For Valentine’s Day, Le Jardin will be offering a three-course meal to take home and warm up for your sweetie. The Valentine’s special includes everything you need for a romantic table — a bottle of wine hand-selected by the experts at Buster’s Liquors and Wines, a candle and a red rose. This package is $125 per couple. The menu will also be available Friday, February 10, and Saturday, February 11. Orders must be made in advance.

Does your Valentine enjoy eating healthy? In her East Memphis restaurant, Chef Julles Bhupesh creates globally inspired, clean, gourmet meals for dining in or takeout.
