Don Pelts brought Corky’s to life in 1984. His vision was to establish a Memphis-style BBQ “joint” that made great premium BBQ in a fun 50’s environment. The rest is Memphis history!

The original Commissary was a small country store for over 90 years until Walker Taylor bought it in 1981 and turned it into one of the best Memphis BBQ joints around.

This restaurant established the Neely name in BBQ, which all started when Jim Neely converted a former grocery store on South Third into a BBQ restaurant almost 40 years ago.
