Party with the whole city at a rockin’ New Year’s Eve bash, blues-style! Throughout the night, celebrate with live music, fireworks, food, drinks and more — and be sure and stay for the Hard Rock Cafe guitar drop and countdown to midnight. Ring in 2018 in Memphis’ signature style. Festivities start at 8:45 p.m.
Hang with the cool kids in the Grand Lobby and mezzanine of The Peabody for a straight-up Memphis NYE celebration, starting at 8 p.m. and closing down around 2 a.m. There will be live music from Garry Goin Group (G3), Seeing Red and DJ Epic in the Continental Ballroom. The Rene Koopman Trio performs sophisticated classics in the Corner Bar, as well as a party going on throughout the lobby of the hotel. General admission tickets are $40 during the online pre-sale and $50 at the door. VIP passes are limited, so purchase online for $150 — VIP passes include valet parking and entrance to the Stella Artois VIP lounge, which boasts hors d’oeuvres, champagne and, of course, Stella Artois. Party guests must be 21 and over.
Brought to you by Old Dominick Distillery, New Year’s Eve at Railgarten will include Old Dom drink specials, Memphis swag and live performances from Southern Avenue, Star & Micey, Stax Music Academy Alumni Band, Mark Edgar Stuart and Daniel Leroy Mathis, aka DJ Pressure World. Bundle up, because it will be full outside, Times Square-style. Free and open to the public at Railgarten, the evening’s festivities start at 7 p.m. and will wrap up at 2 a.m.
Overton Square is throwing another fabulous New Year’s Eve Bash! Head to the Tower Courtyard where they are hosting a neighborhood concert, featuring The Dantones and DJ Bobby Smith and emceed by American Idol finalist Alexis Grace. The fun kicks off at 9 p.m., and the neighborhood event is free for all ages. Enjoy food and alcoholic beverages (if you are 21+, of course) available for on-site purchase during the show, then meet up with friends to bounce around between Overton Square’s late-night hotspots!
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Children’s Museum of Memphis for their inaugural masquerade party in the new wing by the Grand Carousel. There will be dancing and live music provided by one of Memphis’ favorite party bands, City Mix. General admission tickets are $75 pre-sale and $90 at the door, which covers hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and a midnight champagne toast. VIP tickets are $150 and include a three-course dinner from a local surprise chef starting at 7 p.m. prior to the party, as well as a “fast pass” for the bar line.
Ring in 2018 at historic Lafayette’s Music Room for a night of music and fun! Kick the night off with Pearl at 6:30 p.m., and dance your way into 2018 with Almost Famous at 10 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 per person, which include a champagne toast and party favors. VIP tickets are $80 per person or $150 per couple, and they include reserved seating, passed hors d’oeuvres, the midnight champagne toast and party favors.

Starting at 5 p.m., Sweet Grass will be serving up delicious eats off their regular menu on New Year’s Eve. When you make your reservation, be aware that they do hold a credit card number on file for no shows. If you don’t cancel at least 12 hours prior, you’ll be charged $25 per guest in the reservation and mailed a gift card for that value to use at a later date. Ciao Bella Italian Grill will be open for dinner from 5 p.m. until 9:30pm with their regular dinner menu, as well as some fun weekend specials.
