Don’t you just love the word aspirational? It’s the perfect combination of aspire and inspirational and, frankly, we aren’t even sure if it is a real word. We think, however, that it can be applied to the Olympics; don’t you? We all aspire to be better at something — whether that’s working out or spending more time with the family or to be better at budgeting. And when you watch the world-class athletes competing in Rio, you can’t help but be inspired.
If shopping were an Olympic sport, then we’d give a gold medal to these aspirational finds. These items are over-the-top, fabulous things we’ve found around town that we love to look at (and when allowed, touch!). And if our bank accounts are having a gold medal day, then who knows? We may even splurge. Take a look at these luxe loves!

Eight treatments run $1,200, and monthly maintenance of two treatments is $300 per month at Mona Esthetics.
FOR THE HOME
It’s appropriate that when our photographer snapped a photo of a stunning glass tapestry at T Clifton Art Gallery, she also was keeping a nervous eye on her young son who came along for the shoot. That’s because this piece is artist Carole Perry’s way of rebelling against the dreaded “DO NOT TOUCH” rules regarding glass. She encourages the viewer to feel this work, titled “Her Toy Box was Full of Firetrucks Too.” Find it for $4,500 at T Clifton Art Gallery.
