May 27 – June 29: Memphis Blues Society Bluesday Tuesdays in Overton Square
The Memphis Blues Society will host Bluesday Tuesday in Overton Square on Tuesday nights May 27 through July 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performances will take place in the Tower Courtyard at Overton Square. (The courtyard is located north of the parking garage, south of Madison Avenue, west of Cooper and east of Florence.) Admission is free. All-ages performance. No coolers. June 2 – 8: FedEx St. Jude Classic Golf Tournament at TPC Southwind
The FedEx St. Jude Classic has been played in Memphis since 1958 making it the longest running golf tournament on the PGA. The tournament is played at TPC Southwind and benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Headed to Memphis this year is Phil Mickelson, Masters Champion Zach Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Lee Westwood, Dustin Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington and many more.

June 3 – 7: Germantown Charity Horse Show
Celebrating its 66th year in 2014, the Germantown Charity Horse Show will be presented at the Germantown Charity Horse Show grounds in Germantown from June 3 to 7, The Germantown Charity Horse Show is a very special show with a lot of community involvement. It is an all-breed event that showcases more than 800 horses and welcomes everyone from horse aficionados to enthusiasts of all levels. gchs.org
June 3 – 28: Bruce Brainard, Pilgrimage, at David Lusk, Memphis
Beginning June 3, David Lusk Gallery in Memphis will showcase a new body of landscape paintings on canvas by artist Bruce Brainard during the month of June. The exhibition, Pilgrimage, expands Brainard’s belief of “discovering life’s purpose through the natural world around us.”His realistically painted works are allegorical depictions of natural settings as the symbol of man’s capability to find a state of grace and peace. June 5 – July 31: Collierville Sunset on the Square, Concert Series
Beginning June 5, make Thursdays your night to enjoy the scenery of historic Collierville at sunset for their Summer Concert Series 2014! This is the 23rd year that Collierville is putting on this summertime event. The show will always start at 7 p.m. on each Thursday from June through July. June 5: Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m., watch this classic movie in Memphis’ Orpheum theatre, part of their Summer Movie Series. “Struggling writer Paul Varjak moves into a New York apartment building and becomes intrigued by his pretty, quirky neighbor Holly Golightly. June 6: Bruno Mars, Moonshine Jungle Tour

June 7: Moon River Music Festival
The Moon River Music Festival is an exciting one-day music festival in Drew Holcomb’s hometown to promote the soul and cultural richness of the city. The line-up will include Memphis locals Stax Music Academy Alumni, Myla Smith and Apollo Mighty who join previously announced acts: Will Hoge, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Holly Williams, Rob Baird, Ellie Holcomb, Judah & the Lion and Dwan Hill. The festival will benefit several local Memphis charities: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Soulsville Foundation and The Levitt Shell. June 18: Lionel Richie and special guest CeeLo Green, All the Hits, All Night Long Tour

June 21 – Sept 20: Live at the Garden

Through Aug 28: Thursdays Squared at Overton Square
A new live music experience happening this spring and summer at the Tower Courtyard (Trimble Place and Florence Street) on Thursday nights. Taking place in the Tower Courtyard at Overton Square (adjacent to parking garage) from 6 to 11 p.m. on Thursdays, April 17 – August 28. Live bands, wine and beer sales, giveaways and more. Covers will be affordable ($5 to $15 depending on the headlining band); beer and wine will be for sale, and there will be parking in the parking garage. overtonsquare.com
