Leather key tags
The perfect gift for the guy who has everything? A snazzy leather key tag by Tom Dixon, embossed with a memorable image. Get them for $18 each at 20Twelve at the Dixon.
The perfect finishing touch to a festive print is a pop of color, and this suede and tassel necklace brings just that! With a cord that can hang low or be doubled, it’s an inexpensive and impactful piece. Find one for $10 from More Therapy.
These sleep shorts may be just the thing for all those hard-to-buy-for girls on your list this holiday season. They’re available in two shades of seersucker and a variety of cute graphic prints, as well. They sell for $10 at La Maison Antiques.
Sunglasses & case
It’s a fact of life: One can never have enough sunglasses. These chic mirrored sunglasses come with a cute flannel case, so there’s twice as much to love. Get yours for $22 from Pickering Boxwood.
FOR THE HOME
Knowing where to put a hot dish on the table just became a no-brainer with this wood and metal hot plate that literally spells it out. Find it for $24 at More Than Words.
Ceramic candle holders
Think how pretty this pop of blue will be in an autumnal or holiday setting! Crackled ceramic candle holders can hold varying size pillar candles and are just $12 each or $24 for the pair at Nadeau.
Still looking for a way to dress up the house for Halloween or the table for fall entertaining? This metal “Boo” sign is a great addition for the mantle or porch, and a pretty set of 12 paper pumpkin placemats (say that three times fast!) will add whimsy to the table. Find them for $24 each from me & mrs. jones
Candles glow warmer and flowers seem more gorgeous when mercury glass is part of the equation, and as we head into the fall and winter holidays, these charmers are just the ticket. Find the mercury glass mason jar, $9.99, and Sienna vase, $21.99, at Pottery Barn Outlet
We’ve always envied our friends who have huge fireplaces and tote their logs in from outside using a sturdy log carrier. Those of us with smaller fireplaces and smaller log piles can use this smaller yet still sturdy canvas and suede log carrier we spied for just $18 at Palladio Interiors, formerly known as Market Central.
A table runner adds an instant and, in this case, casual chic touch to any table setting — indoors or out. Fourteen inches wide by 90 inches long, the indigo-and-white patterned table runner is $22 from Frugal Home Finds.
Extra-virgin olive oil body lotion
A girl walks into an olive oil store and walks out with … body lotion? Yes! This lush lotion is made with extra-virgin olive oil and feels more like a cream. It moisturizes for hours, too, and has a pleasant (but not overpowering) scent. Get it for $12 at The Mighty Olive.
So, we are nuts for a good Spanish tempranillo, and after a summer spent drinking the inexpensive ($6.99) Globerati Pinot Grigio, we thought we’d see how Globerati Tempranillo, also $6.99 at Whole Foods Market, stacked up. Bueno, as it turns out; it’s a nice wine, with focused cherry and plum flavors that’s totally drinkable, and it has a cute label, too — something we all know is so important in making a wine decision. Not.
