Looking for the perfect gift for Father’s Day? James Davis has made it easier than ever to get that special guy in your life the perfectly fitted shirt. James Davis has just introduced a revolutionary approach to buying a dress shirt. The new line of Stantt custom men’s dress shirts allows customers to have the perfect custom shirt in just seven days.

James Davis has introduced an innovative new way to buy men’s shirts.

James Davis has a selection of sample Stantt shirts for your guy to try on to see exactly how his new custom-made shirt will fit.

The sign says it all! Seventy-five — yep, 75! — sizes to help you find your one perfect fit.
“All it takes is three simple measurements,” explains Rob Joyner, President of James Davis. A sales associate measures the man’s chest, abdomen and sleeve and then puts those measurements into an app that calculates the perfect fit. “Once we know the size, then our customer can try on a sample of that shirt to make sure it is exactly what he wants,” adds James Davis owner Van Weinberg as he points to a wall full of blue gingham sample shirts. After the fit is confirmed, the customer then chooses from 125 pattern choices, four collar styles and two cuff styles. And within just one week, this custom-made shirt will be here in town ready to wear. The whole fitting and selection process takes less than five minutes!
With this new cutting-edge technology, purchasing a custom-made shirt is made quicker and easier, and with prices starting at $98 per shirt, custom clothing is more affordable.
“In the past, we would need to take about a dozen measurements for a custom shirt, and the turnaround was about three to four weeks,” explains Rob. This custom shirt that would take about a month to arrive was also very expensive. On average, most classic custom dress shirts are priced at about $200.

Choose from over 100 fabric styles.

James Davis owner Van Weinberg and his team are ready to help you find the perfect fit.
“This new Stantt system is going to change how men buy shirts,” adds Van. “Traditionally, shirts are bought using two measurements — the neck and the sleeve. But those two measurements didn’t necessarily create a shirt that fit all body types. Stantt has come up with an algorithm using three simple measurements for a perfect fit. Somehow, using the measurements of the chest, sleeve and abdomen, the neck fit always comes out perfect!”
The patent-pending technology that Stantt developed is called Datafit. Kirk Keel and Matt Hornbuckle, the cofounders of Stantt, acknowledged that all guys are built differently, so they decided to create a new approach to sizing.
Traditional sizing has been around since the Civil War. And, it turns out, it only gives 15% of men a perfect fit. The folks at Stantt challenged the status quo and built a new approach with one goal in mind — making it simple for men to get a perfect fit.

To find the perfect fit, James Davis President Rob Joyner takes only three measurements. The first is around the chest.

The second measurement is taken around the abdomen.

The third and final measurement to be taken is the sleeve.

Measurements are entered into a cell phone app to determine the perfect fit. This chap’s perfect fit is the “LaGuardia.” Stantt shirt sizes are all named after places in New York.
They gathered millions of data points from measurements and scans of men’s bodies and used that data to create an algorithm that matches a customer to his perfect size. The end result is a collection of 75 sizes, offering customers over 10% more options than traditional companies with the typical small, medium, large or extra-large.
“All the sizes are named after places in New York,” Van explains as he helps fit a customer. Whereas the shirts are all-cotton, there is some selection in fabrics. “There are some linen and some wrinkle-free options available,” adds Rob. “Customers can also choose if they want a button or a French cuff.”
James Davis has been dressing Memphians since 1962, when Van’s uncle and father first started this popular men’s clothier. “We are looking to the future. We brought in this innovative new technology, because it’s so easy to help our customers find the perfect fit,” explains Van.

After only a few minutes of measurements, a customer gets to try on a sample shirt of his perfect size.
“Never before have I had a shirt fit this great so fast,” explains a longtime customer as Rob assists him with his Stantt order. Seeing that smile on his face, we can tell that the perfect fit really does matter to our guys!
