Not even the Hurricane Patricia-inspired monsoon that hit Memphis this week could wash out the Halloween spirits of our city’s creative homeowners. From cute and cuddly to ghastly and garish to downright creeptacular, we’ve done some preholiday scouting to show you the tricks and treats you won’t want to miss tomorrow night … even if the rain does come again. (Two coves on separate sides of the city make ME want to put on a costume and ring a doorbell. Outta the way, kids!)
Sweet & Fuzzy
Along with candy, we want a hug from these super-fun homeowners.
Ghouls & Goblins
These people had a whole lot of fun with their inner 12-year-olds. Boo!
R.I.P., say these Memphis-area homeowners. And be careful on your way to the front door … there’s really no telling what you might step on.
Webs & Stuff
Giant spiders aren’t something we usually tolerate here at StyleBlueprint, but we’ll make an exception for candy.
Spooktacular Cove #1 (somewhere in Collierville)
OMG! These homeowners really love Halloween. And we love them for it. Let’s take a poll: How many hours do you think went into the planning, setup and execution of these super-creepy and super-fab installations?
Spooktacular Cove #2 (somewhere in Bartlett):
This Bartlett cove is legendary for coming alive (wait, that’s probably the wrong phrase) this time each year. It’s free and open to the public, but there’s a donation can to raise funds for the American Heart Association in memory of one of the cove’s founders, Rory Mack. Feast your eyes and fill your candy buckets! Images: Halloween Cove
A house that pulls off a spooky holiday with panache. I mean, really, could StyleBlueprint find a better Halloween spokeshouse than this?
Have a safe and happy Halloween, Memphis!
