Ready to pull yourself up by the boot straps? The arrival of fall signals boot shoppers to take inventory. Here are some of the fall/winter stand-outs we spotted around town. But first, a few boot tips to consider when seeking your perfect match.
- There is a tall boot for everyone! If you have a wider calf, it may require a bit more time searching to find the right fit. Plenty of tall boot brands, because of their cut, do fit a wider calf, and these are boots you can typically buy in your favorite stores. Keep an eye out for brands such as Lucky, Cole Haan, Donald Pliner, Frye and more that have styles with a wider fit. Read more on StyleBlueprint about boots for bigger calves, here: Boots for Bigger Calves
- There is really no combination off limits with the bootie this year. Wear with pants of any length; tuck your pants in, out or cuff them just above your bootie-style shoe. This is the year of the bootie!
- Choose a boot that hits you in the most flattering point on your leg. You will be in style with any boot height this year. From ankle- to calf- to knee- to thigh-high, it all came down the fashion runway for 2014-’15.
- Determining the ideal boot fit is a trial-and-error process, so shopping in the store will be your best bet for this fashion item; you really need to try them on!
