Each holiday season is marked with the return of Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol at Actors Theatre. Opening night on Black Friday, November 27, 2015 was extra special with many guests traveling from places far and near to see this wonderful play. For many of us, seeing A Christmas Carol is a rite of passage to begin the holiday season. With the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and cranberries all tucked away in our bellies, it is time to start thinking about Christmas. What a perfect way to start the holiday than with a reminder from our dear Ebenezer Scrooge about what this season is really all about.
The Opening Night party and performance were home to a lively bunch. Excited to be out of the house and entertained, this group had a great time before, during and after the play. For forty years, Louisvillians of all ages have attended this play, with entire families making a pilgrimage to see it. Snug in our beds, long after the performance was over, we can still hear the chants of “Merry Christmas to all! And to all a good night!
