Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! There are so many amazing events in Louisville this month — especially festivals — worth adding to your end-of-season social calendar. For this edition of What to Wear, we’re highlighting three exciting upcoming events: The Gaslight Festival in Jeffersontown, Bourbon & Beyond 2019 at the Waterfront, and Louder than Life Festival at The Kentucky Expo Center.

With the fashion expertise of stylist Tracy Varga, our model, Abigail Holsclaw, is sporting looks from two fabulous Louisville boutiques: Clay & Cotton and General Eccentric. We were sad to hear that General Eccentric is closing, but we’re glad to give them one last shout-out. Be sure to stop by before September 8 and shop their selection before it’s gone!

Here’s a look at what to wear this September.

The Event: The Gaslight Festival

  • September 13-15, 2019
  • Times vary depending on day and activity.
  • Free and open to the public
  • Jeffersontown
  • For more info, visit jtownchamber.com.

The annual Gaslight Festival is the region’s fifth-largest festival and takes place September 13-15. This popular event has everything under the sun — a motorcycle rally, live entertainment, a balloon glow and a golf scramble, all of which celebrate and showcase the talents of this small town. The fun starts at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 13, and continues throughout the weekend. Visit the website for a full list of events and times.

What to wear + Tracy’s style tipsFor The Gaslight Festival, Tracy says, “Be comfortable, prepare for the weather, and wear comfy shoes.” As this festival is outside and involves lots of walking, you want to make sure you’re dressed the part but ready for anything. Take your casual look to the next level with a statement earring or fun jacket. Here’s what to wear to The Gaslight Festival.

What to wear + Tracy’s style tips: Louder Than Life is a music festival lover’s paradise, which means creativity is a must!
