Things are heating up here in Louisville! With all of the July events and happenings, it’s time to give those swimsuits a break and don your most fashionable summer clothes. We chose three July events and picked out what to wear to each one from some great local boutiques (so you don’t have to get up off of your pool chair). This month, we are highlighting an Old-Fashioned 4th of July in Crescent Hill, Forecastle Festival and the Wine, Walk, & Shop event. You can find these outfits at BLU Boutique, Rodeo Drive, Peacock Boutique, Animal Crackers. Collections, General Eccentric, Merci Boutique, Liv Boutique, Circe + Swag, and M.E. Modern Elegance. So sit back, relax and soak up that one more hour of sun.

- Peterson-Dumesnil House
Celebrate an old-fashioned Fourth of July at the Peterson-Dumesnil House in Crescent Hill. With more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, a children’s fun zone, a cake booth, live music and, of course, fireworks, you and your family will be sure to have a great time! Ride your bike or park for free at the Seminary parking lot on Grinstead Drive and catch a free trolley ride to the grounds from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Be sure to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the fireworks. What to wear: Besides red, white and blue, wear something casual and festive. Make sure you dress for the heat that usually accompanies our nation’s Independence Day.
