Time to turn up the color in this city after a long, white winter. Greens for luck, yellows for sunny days and everything in between. Spring is right around the corner, so here are our SB FINDS to get you on your way to warmer, brighter days!
A couple of weeks ago, we talked about four trends to watch for spring, and yellow was number one. Try a little yellow in your wardrobe with accessories, like these two handbags from Dandelion. Jack Rogers sandals
Every girl needs a pair of Jack Rogers in her closet. These are a new design: “Lauren” slides instead of the standard “Navajo” thong. Available at Monkee’s of Louisville in flat bottom for $128 or wedge heel for $178.
This green skirt is pleated with a leather bow belt and is universally flattering on everyone. Pair with a striped top or even something yellow, and others will be green with envy. Available at the Pink Door Boutique for $44
This hat comes in other colors, but the yellow one really caught our eye. Sold at J. McLaughlin, this Palm River Hat is $98 and also comes in white, blue and coral.
Thinking of spring? These bright green topiaries from Digs Home and Garden are a cute little decorative feature to add to a stack of books or a windowsill. Sold for $8 and $22
Another perfect color and home item for spring, this green vase comes from Cartwheels. Add a few of your favorite flowers and voila! You’ve got a lot of color against these snowy days.
These handmade leather coasters in the shape of our Commonwealth are made locally by Clayton & Crume. These make a perfect resting spot for your bourbon and are sold at Consider Boutique for $35 for a set of four.
These beautiful, cozy, Italian herringbone throws are available in coral pink and papaya at Lee W. Robinson‘s showroom. They retail for $86 and will keep you warm and snuggled up while riding out this cold weather.

This felt ball trivet is made in Nepal by Vilt Van Ver and is reminiscent of the potholders made by many a Girl Scout Troop. This company also makes rugs and coasters of felt balls. Clay & Cotton sells them locally for $30 each.
