Boo Boo Smoke Shack is one of Louisville’s top-rated BBQ trucks and people can’t get enough! This food truck has hot wheels and moves to a new location every day, but usually stays downtown. Whether you’re looking for a traditional pulled pork sandwich, smoked hot dogs, smoked turkey or even BBQ tacos, Boo Boo’s got you covered. Remember to top everything with their special homemade barbecue sauce before eating for the ultimate Boo Boo experience!
Boss Hog’s BBQ guarantees to have the best barbecue in Kentucky. Customers rave about their juicy barbecue sauce, jumbo cheese dogs and reasonably portioned sizes — ideal for any lunch break. They’re also known for their rib tips, tacos and chicken wings (that need no sauce, according to their fans). If you’re looking for the perfect date night idea, Boss Hog’s usually hangs around the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in the summer. Watching a performance while eating delicious BBQ? Count us in.

Curb your craving for Southern-style cooking and barbecue at Moe-licious BBQ! This truck covers all the BBQ must-have’s with pork, chicken and beef brisket on the menu. Their ribs will have you licking your fingers in no time, and the smoked mac & cheese is to-die-for. Moe’s truck travels all over the area and introduces the entire region to this Moe-licious food!
The friendly owners of this Scotch-Irish BBQ Truck used to dream of opening a restaurant someday. Their dreams came true and, from the looks of it, they have quite the fan base! The Celtic Pig serves up a Kentucky twist on Celtic favorites. Along with BBQ classics like pulled pork and ribs, this joint also has plenty of classic international dishes like fish & chips and shepherd’s pie. Yum!
FB: Dr. Smoke’s
Dr. Smoke’s BBQ truck pulls a massive smoker with flags and is one of a kind! Your mouth begins to water and your sense of smell is more than satisfied as soon as you pull into the parking lot. Dr. Smoke is a Texan, which means you are not going to need any sauce on your barbecue; he dry rubs and smokes everything to perfection. You won’t regret trying the pork sandwich – it literally melts in your mouth.
All-American Food Trucks
Did someone say chicken? Gourmet chicken that is. POLLO food truck has classic Southern comfort food that is ideal for any time, any day. Whether you’re in the mood for chicken tacos, a fried chicken quesadilla or the famous fried chicken and waffle combo, POLLO’s got your back. They prepare chicken in a myriad of ways, and the prices are unbeatable. Next time you need your fried chicken fix, definitely check out this delicious food truck!

You can’t miss the hot pink ambulance and trailer known as Lexie Lu’s driving around town. This truck’s focus is on American classics and offers burgers, nachos, quesadillas and loaded french fries that are hard to pass up. They also make their own bacon, so be ready to add that to your order too. The prices are affordable and the quality is great! Bonus: they offer gluten and dairy free options as well!
Welcome to the only place in Louisville where you can get a rock-grilled, grass-fed burger and hand-cut fries with house-made ketchup. If that’s not enough to make you want to try it, this food truck also has a 4.9-star rating and is a local favorite! They have every variety of fries you could ever dream of: roasted garlic and Parmesan; jalapeño, queso and salsa fresca; chorizo and queso blanco; cilantro, scallion, gorgonzola and bacon.
“Food so good you’ll smack yo momma!” Since 1996, The Get It On a Bun at Booty’s food truck has been driving Louisville streets serving up their delicious chili, hot dogs and hamburgers. Their slow-roasted pork won “Best of Louisville” last year and people rave about their house-made chipotle mayo. In addition to things you can get on a bun, Booty’s also has great salads. They will post their location a day in advance so that you can go Get It On a Bun at Booty’s!

The food at Lil Cheezers is just like the name sounds … cheesy. We’re talking about delicious, creamy, can’t get enough of it cheese! This gourmet cheesemobile offers every grilled cheese possibility under the sun. With savory options like the BLT grilled cheese and sweet options like the s’mores sandwich, you can’t go wrong. This truck even offers the King’s favorite; a peanut butter and banana sandwich called “The Elvis.” Two words: mouth-watering.
Seafood & Sushi
FB: Longshot Lobsta
Thanks to Longshot Lobsta, you don’t have to travel to Maine to get a quality lobster roll. This truck’s “lobsta” roll is high quality, super fresh and brings Maine to Louisville! The “lobsta” rolls are $10 and totally worth it. They also have a “lobsta” bisque that is to die for. If you’re really trying to satisfy your lobster craving, you can get a “lobsta” roll, “lobsta” bisque and a cheddar biscuit for just $12!
Wait, we can get sushi on the go now?! The Louisville Sushi Truck makes fresh sushi for those who want a quick roll for lunch or dinner. Many people add eel sauce or spicy mayo for an extra punch of flavor. This truck is typically downtown, at Waterfront Plaza or in the medical center, but you also can catch it at the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival during the summer!
The Seafood Lady food truck has been featured on the Food Network and is so good even Guy Fieri can’t get enough of it. From fish and shrimp to crab and cheese covered fries, Seafood Lady has it all. They put a twist on the traditional chicken and waffles by making the Food Network’s favorite, lobster and waffles. This truck is a seafood lover’s fantasy and you won’t regret trying it!

Go and get your fix of classic Cuban sandwiches at El Mambo – the only Cuban food truck in town! They quickly make any Cuban sandwich you’re craving: pork, chicken, beef, ham, fish and even vegetarian! Add plantains as your side for a true and genuine Cuban feel. You definitely get bang for your buck at this food truck; huge portions for an affordable price!
Ramiro’s Cantina is a brick-and-mortar Mexican food restaurant on Frankfort Avenue. They take their show on the road with Ramiro’s Cantina on wheels, one of the only food trucks that offer alcohol – aye yai yai! The food is fresh and the service is great. Try the tacos, quesadillas, burritos, margaritas and other authentic family recipes that Ramiro creates – all are delicious!
FB: Zoom Zoom Yum
Zoom Zoom Yum has a wide selection of fresh, made-to-order Turkish food that is served perfectly seasoned and piping hot! There are so many delicious items that it would take a while to eat through the whole menu, but we are up to the challenge. All wraps are delicious and even come with a side of fries. The Zoom Zoom Yum food truck is usually seen at major events/festivals and will post their location in advance so you won’t miss them!
Is it possible to be two different places in the world … at the same time? The Traveling Kitchen food truck makes this possible by offering tacos and pan-fried or deep-fried dumplings. An unexpected, yet absolutely delicious combo. Check Facebook for their location, you won’t want to miss them! One piece of advice: if soup is on the menu, always and without a doubt, order it.
Germany’s #1 Food is the first food truck in Louisville to serve Germany’s favorite street food! There is so much to choose from on their menu. Meat and veggies topped off with homemade sauces, famous German Bratwursts and even delicious sweet treats. Major bonus: all meals are usually less than 550 calories! Whether you’re expanding your palette or a lover of German food, this truck is definitely worth trying.
Get your Asian (healthy) food fix with this truck that serves Chinese, Korean AND Vietnamese food. Fresh Out the Box is known for its delicious food, friendly employees, quick service and very reasonable prices. All menu items are both delicious and extremely fresh! Our favorite is the sesame noodle salad with cucumber, along with all of the yummy veggies.
With all the fast food and greasy comfort food available, it’s nice to have healthy options at the ready as well. V-Grits offers mouth-watering vegan Southern comfort food (yes, it DOES exist!) that is not only healthy, but tastes amazing! This truck gets rave reviews for a reason. Think buffalo cauliflower tacos, a vegan Hot Brown pimento cashew cheese, coconut bacon and “chicken” & waffles. OMG, so good!
And for Dessert …
Dive into all things dessert at the Louisville Dessert Truck! There is no better way to satisfy your sweet tooth than with Louisville’s own dessert station on wheels. This unique dessert truck offers a variety of desserts including cookies, cupcakes, bourbon ball brownies and fresh-made paletas. They are usually, and brilliantly, located near all other food trucks, so you can follow up your main meal with a delicious dessert (of course!).
Ahh, there’s just something about gelato and sorbet in the summertime … actually, all the time. Lucky for us, Spotz Gelato will satisfy our cravings no matter the season! Award-winning, handcrafted, small batch gelato/sorbet (made from local ingredients) served in vintage food trucks at festivals, events, weddings, corporate events and private parties throughout Kentucky. Can’t decide if you’re having sugar withdrawals or in major need of something savory? Head to Sweet ‘n’ Savory, they’ll fix both! Vegetarian Caprese crepes, pizza crepes, banana Nutella crepes, chocolate strawberry crepes; you name it, they’ve mastered it. Sweet ‘n’ Savory also serves smoothies and gelato. Can it get any better?!
Soft and fluffy hand-crafted shaved ice that is naturally vegan, gluten-free and allergy-free … we think YES. This food truck has everything to bring out your inner child with perfectly flavored, yummy in your tummy snoballs! From classic snow cone flavors such as blue raspberry and cherry, to unique flavors such as lavender lemonade, vanilla cupcake and caramel apple, you can’t go wrong.
