We have said it before and we will say it again: white jeans are the mean girls of your wardrobe. Why? Because they are so totally awesome, but they talk behind your back. When they are good, they are oh, so good. But when they are bad, they make you look and feel awful.
And because of their elusive and exclusive nature, it’s incredibly hard to find the exact right pair for you. They are literally the unicorn of your wardrobe. If you find them and they are perfect, then you have the magic, one-of-a-kind pants. We asked around to see which unicorns get the best reviews, and we mean reviews from women with real bodies and real lives. Reviewers must have cellulite or imperfections of some sort (i.e. not be supermodel perfect) to participate.
Here’s what we are all looking for:
- Jeans that are thick enough to hide imperfections, but thin enough to be stretchy and breathe
- Jeans that allow you to wear undergarments comfortably
- Jeans that don’t amplify your cellulite and make it look like there has been a hailstorm on your thighs
- Jeans that are not so stretchy that they look like body paint
- Jeans that are not so stiff that they feel like cement blocks
Here are the white jeans that got the best reviews (from real people). Also, if we don’t own these jeans already, we know someone who does and loves them, so we completely vouch for all eight pairs on this list.
8 White Jeans That Will Look Amazing on You
Let’s state for the record, these pictures don’t show the jeans on actual “normal” women; these are models. You need to try them on to experience them for yourself and find the perfect pair.
These jeans are a go-to favorite for many women, as they fit many body types. Even though they retail at around $100, you can always find them on sale, either online or in the stores. Buy a couple of pairs, because they are the workhorse of your wardrobe. They are thick enough to not show every detail underneath, but thin enough to keep you cool. They also come in a cream/oatmeal shade, which is another option for year-round, light jean wear. Keep your eye out for these, since they sell out quickly.
Paige jeans are pricey, but worth it on every count. We did not specify a cut because they have several for just about every body type. Shown below is the Hoxton fit, which is a slightly higher rise, as to hide a multitude of sins. Paige jeans last and last through many washes and still maintain their shape throughout the day. Buy one pair and have them forever.
NYDJ has possibly some of the best pants and jeans on the market right now, with the worst name. That branding blunder aside, these jeans are a favorite across the board, regardless of size, age or body type. They make everyone look thinner, they are made from quality fabric and sometimes you can even go down a size. (We make no promises on that, but it has been rumored to be true.) Not only do we recommend their white jeans, which come in a multitude of cuts and types, we recommend all their other pants as well. You will be a follower of this brand soon, trust us. Expect to pay $100 and up for these pants.
Joe’s Jeans are just so, so, so soft. They are like wearing pajamas. They are also the golden ticket to girls with curves and/or a booty. Try the Honey cut if you are looking to fit your booty and not have a hula hoop in the waistband. They have just the right amount of stretch, but are not stick-to-you tight. Now most of their jeans have a stain repellent on them, making them impervious to all the stain causers that love white jeans, such as coffee, wine and dirt.
Beija Flor jeans are made by a mother/daughter team out of Greenville, SC, so they definitely get women’s bodies. Just to be clear, these are Oprah’s favorite jeans, so they’ve got to be good to pass her test. Their white jeans fit your curves just right and still are flattering without looking too tight.
Loft jeans got a lot of love from a lot of our women responders, who all said that the quality and fit of these jeans were great, but that the price point was even better. Like the J.Crew jeans, these are great workhorse jeans that you can often find on sale. They have lots of different styles and cuts for various body types.
AG jeans are great jeans across the board. Their quality, fit and texture are all top notch. Like the Joe’s Jeans, they are truly soft and supple. They are an investment, but the feel is worth it. AG makes great jeans for straight and curvy girls alike, and any body type should find the perfect fit for them in this selection.
Rag & Bone are good jeans that withstand the test of time. We find that girls who like Rag & Bone are more straight or apple body type. These jeans do not stretch out and can make it through wear after wear and still flatter your body and not fall off of you.
Don’t keep chasing those rainbows, girls! There’s bound to be one pair of magically fitting jeans out of these eight that we love.
