I don’t know about you and your girlfriends, but lately, when one of us has a birthday we have a hard time scheduling a celebratory dinner or drinks. Too many schedules, games,  and after-school activities have held us hostage at night.

Our latest and greatest birthday celebrations have all been breakfasts. And our standard birthday breakfasts are always at Wild Eggs. If you go at 9am during the week, there’s NO WAITING unlike the weekends.

Usually there is a line of people waiting here.

Oh…. what a birthday we have.

The menu is so vast that there is something for everyone. I only ever get the same two things, but some of my friends shake it up and get something new each time.

You can drink an adult beverage here; here is the Proud Mary Bloody Mary. We did not partake but it looks good. We are more of a latte/cappuccino crowd.

Here’s my old faithful the Surfer Girl (egg whites) with an  “Everything” muffin and fruit. For those of you who know, the only reason your order anything here is to get the Everything Muffin. And if you are too full to finish it, get it to go.

Surfer girl omelet: fresh spinach, wild mushrooms, tomato, cream cheese and onion, topped with diced fresh avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream and fresh alfalfa sprouts. Fruit and an “everything’ muffin.

Here is Bennie’s Gone Wild.  The mushrooms are actually “mushroom cakes” and she added spinach.  Wow.

Bennie’s Gone Wild: Wild mushrooms, toasted English muffin, grilled tomato, poached eggs, roasted tomato hollandaise, balsamic reduction and smoked paprika.

And this is the coup de grace: The Breakfast Burrito, covered in queso. Perfect for our birthday girl.

Breakfast Burrito: Flour tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs, chorizo, cheddar jack cheese, poblano pepper and onion, topped with queso fundido, sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado and green onion. Skillet potatoes and black beans.

Our great waitress gave the birthday girl a sundae with ice cream from the Comfy Cow. A sundae at 10am is the way to go.

Special sundae for the birthday girl. Ice cream is from the Comfy Cow.  We had already taken a couple bites before I could get the picture.

See you in a couple months for the next birthday Wild Eggs!

Check out all the treats on the Wild Eggs menu here.  They have locations in Westport Village, Landis Lakes and in St. Matthews off Dutchman’s Lane.
