Why Social Media Matters

February 10, 2017 by StyleBlueprint Editors

We get it. You’re strapped for time. You manage finances, inventory, employees, vendors and more. Social media can often be overlooked due to your lack of time or strategy in place to carry it out. Here are three tips to help get you on your way to social media domination:

1. Lessen your workload. Decide which social communities are best for your business. For example, if your target customer doesn’t engage much on Twitter, drop it and only focus on Facebook and Instagram.

2. Leverage technology. Utilize the FREE tools at your disposal. Consolidating the work will take considerably less time than trying to post on the fly. You can schedule your Facebook posts ahead of time through Facebook’s own platform. Sign up for Later to pre-load your Instagram posts and just hit publish when they’re scheduled. Hootsuite, a social media management platform, has a no-cost option.

3. Let others do the work for you. While you’ll always want to include your own original content featuring new inventory, specials and your beautiful work, you can also re-post (and re-gram) content! Share photos and content from industry trendsetters with your followers. When a customer posts a photo and tags your business, re-post it and thank them. And don’t forget to share articles and posts when you’re mentioned in StyleBlueprint content!
